Quarante

He heard my silent cries,

He saw my invisible tears.

He silenced my silent cries

And he wiped away my tears.

He healed my scarred, broken heart

With a caring caress of his hand.

He washed away my pain and sorrows

With the pained, sorrowed tears of his own.

I brushed away his tears

With my first real smile in years.

And together we wished on the stars

For our own everlasting melody.

Our melody of love and serenity,

Our on little world of joy.

And that star,

Oh that star.

It listened to our plea.

It answered our call for serenity,

Gave us peace and life and hope.

All thanks to him

When he silenced my cries

And wiped away my sparkling tears.
