"Put a smile on your face!" they say.
"At least try to be happy!" they say.
Don't tell me to brighten up.
Don't tell me to smile,
And don't tell me to try and be happy!
You'd think I hadn't tried.
You think I like not feeling anything?
You think I like being dragged down constantly
By the weight thats on my shoulders
From when I tried to fix you?
I tried to fix you.
I tried to fix you,
But at the same time you were tearing down my walls
And breaking me.
And they say
"Put a smile on your face."
