My toes sink slowly into the soft, damp sand.
Another step.
Cool water rushes quickly to greet me.
It pools around my ankles, tugging at my legs.
It is trying to usher me further,
To pull me in to join in with the waves.
I oblige.
Another step.
I let out a breathy laugh
As it gushes around my knees, swirling and glistening.
I bend down to hold some, but it trickles through my fingertips,
Too wild to be contained.
