"There back." I heard someone yell. I jumped up ran out the dropship as I place my jacket back on. I saw Bellamy standing between Murphy and Wells. Seriously those guys need to fight it out or I will punch them both. I saw Octavia being helped down the small incline of the hill. I looked at Bellamy and we both ran to her.

"Octavia. Are you alright?" He knelt down in front of her as she nodded. I looked around them, they hadn't brought anything back.

"Where's the food?" I questioned. Bellamy looked up a look of annoyance on his face.

"We didn't make it to Mount Weather." Spacewalker said as he sat on a log. I looked at his with a puzzled look on my face. Clarke must have noticed as she answered.

"We were attacked." She stated looking at me.

"By what?" I asked.

"Not what? Who?" I turned to Spacewalker with a shocked look on my face. "Turns out, when the last man on the ground died on the Ark, he wasn't the last grounder."

"It's true. Everything we thought we knew about the ground is wrong. There are people here, survivors. The good news is, that we can survive. The radiation won't kill us." Clarke said sounding happy.

"Yeah, the bad news is, the Grounders will." I turned to Spacewalker who looked sad. I shook my head and looked around, someone was missing.

"Where's Jasper?" I turned to Octavia who looked down. I looked at Clarke with anger flaring in my eyes.

"Jasper was hit." She told me placing a hand on my arm. I pulled away staring at her. "They took him." She added quieter. Her eyes flickered to Wells. "Where the hell is your wristband?" She lifted his arm.

"Ask him?" He snapped pointing to Bellamy.

"How many?"

Murphy looked at her smirking. "Twenty four and counting.

Clarke shook her head. "You idiots. Life support on the Ark is failing. That's why they brought us down here. They need to know the ground is survivable, and we need their help against whoever is out there. If you take your wristbands off, you're not just killing them. You're killing us!" I had to hand it to her she knew how to make a speech. Everyone was watching and mumbling sorry under their breath.

"We're stronger than you think. Don't listen to her." Bellamy started his own little speech to which everyone listened, like always. "She's one of the privileged. If they come down here, she'd have it good. How many of you can say the same? We can take care of ourselves. That wristband on your arm? It makes you a prisoner. We are not prisoners anymore! They say they'll forgive your crimes. I say, you aren't criminals. You're fighters, survivors. The Grounders so worry about us!" Boy was he good, he got them cheering in agreement. All because he knew what buttons to push, and he used it to his advantage.

I was sat with Wells talking quietly when Clarke came over. "You're not coming with us" she said sternly to Wells. He argued back saying his ankle was fine. She had a remarked ready and sure enough she said it. Telling him it wasn't his ankle, but him. Monty argued and fought Wells' corner. Monty was told he wasn't to go either. He had to stay and try and get communications back up and running so we could contact the Ark. I didn't care if we couldn't contact them. I really didn't want to see my mother.

"I'm coming." She looked at me, I could see her thinking of a reason for me not to go. "Don't even think about stopping me Blondie." I walked away over to Bellamy and Octavia. She followed.

"Are you guys leaving." Octavia tried to stand when Clarke nodded.

"No, no. No way. Not again!" Bellamy pushed her back down. I could see the anger filling her entire body.

"He's right O!" She glared at me.

"Your leg will just slow us down." I turned to Clarke. Wow she's agreeing with us for once. She turned to Bellamy. "I'm here for you!" I could hear Wells mumble something to her. "I hear you've got a gun?" Bellamy lifted his shirt exposing his stomach and the gun. I felt myself blush at the sight. "Good. Follow me!" She walked away, only stopping when Bellamy spoke.

"Why would I do that?" She walked back up to him.

Standing right in front of him she snarled. "Because you want them to follow you. And right now, they're think only one of us is scared." It worked he joined the search party.

"Murphy." He called behind him. "Come with me." We left camp and started walking through the forest. Clarke and Wells in front of me. Bellamy and Murphy behind. As I walked I made sure not to trip over roots. I could see Wells and Clarke talking, but decided not to listen in on a private conversation. Instead and I thought about Jasper and what he might be going through. The thoughts brought tears to my eyes.

"Hey. Hold up, what's the rush?" I turned to see Bellamy smirking. "You don't survive a spear through the heart." I rolled my eyes at his harsh comment.

"Jasper screamed when they moved him." Clarke stated. "If the spear had struck his heart. He would have died immediately. It doesn't means we have time to waste."

Bellamy grabbed her wrist. "As soon as you take this wristband off, we can go!" She ripped her hand from his grasp.

"The only way the Ark is going to think I'm dead. Is if I'm dead. Got it?" She spat at him.

"Brave princess." He replied smirking. I rolled my eyes and continued to walk.

"Hey, why don't you find your own nickname?" I turned to see Spacewalker, who's name I found out was Finn. "Call this a rescue party? Got to split up. Cover more ground. Clarke, come with me."

I was left with Wells, Murphy and Bellamy. Great! I was in my own little world ignoring the bickering that was happening with the others, when a loud groan rung out.

"What the hell was that?" Murphy asked looking up.

I saw Clarke stiffen as I walked closer to the group. "Now would be a good time to get that gun out." She said. I started running through the forest towards the sound. I could hear the others calling to me as the followed. I stopped in my tracks. The others nearly crashed into me.

"Jasper." I whispered looking up. The others followed suit. I could hear them gasp. Jasper was tied to a tree. Vines around his arms and waist. Whoever took him had taken his shirt off, exposing the wound. He groaned again. I ran towards him desperate to get him down. Suddenly I felt the ground move. The others just got to me when it gave way. I screamed and fell. I stopped mid air. Looking up I saw Bellamy holding my wrist stopping me falling. I looked down and saw a pit of spikes. Looking back up I saw fear in his eyes. The others rushed over and helped him pull me up. "Thank you." I breathed heavy. He nodded at me.

"We need to get him down." Clarke stated the obvious. Finn and Murphy climbed up and started cutting him down. We watched them, I could see Clarke muttering something, but I couldn't make it out.

"Medicine?" Wells said catching my attention. "Why would they save him just to string him as live bait?"

"Maybe what they're trying to catch likes it's dinner to be breathing." Bellamy stood looking around. Suddenly an animalistic growl sounded. I turned in the direction it was coming from. "Grounders?" Bellamy asked coming towards me. I shook my head.

From the grass a big panther pounced "Bellamy, gun." Clarke screamed. He felt around, but couldn't find it. The panther pounced straight at him. Gunshots rung out. The panther ran back to the grass. We stood trying to see where it was. Then again it ran out and pounced Bellamy grabbed my waist and pulled me out of the way. More shots and the panther was down. We turned to see Wells with the gun, squeezing the trigger over and over again. Until it clicked indicating there was no more bullets.

"Now she sees you." Bellamy laughed.
