"So, let me comprehend what you've been saying." She paused thinking thoroughly. "I have to swim in this black water, go to the bottom and then to the surface and repeat the process seven times," she pointed her finger to the black pond and added, "Is it even safe? I bet some scary creature lives down there."

"Jane, for the fourth time today; it's safe. It is essential to follow my orders for your own health," he said exasperated.

"How do you know this?" Jane was really curious.

"Now, stop wasting time! All your questions will be answered. You have 1 min to get into the water or else I'll be using my own hands," William crossed his arms.

"Geez, I'm going, I'm going." She looked at the water and whispered, "how bossy!" She stripped off her clothes and was standing in her underwear. The breeze was cold.

"Did you say something?" William questioned with a faint smile on his lips.

Jane ignored his question, splash of water was heard along with William's chuckle.

Deep down in the mesmerizing water,  Colors of turquoise and peach glistened in her sight. The colors were astonishing, they were like magnet. She touched them and soon her task was forgotten. She had a stinging sensation in her hand followed by her feet. She drifted and swayed in the color rich paradise until she touched the black sand. She never noticed when did she reached the bottom. She attempted to move but to no avail. Before her heavy eyelids betrayed her, she saw a shadow growing nearer.

"Jane, Jane" two strong hands were shaking Jane. "Thank God, can you hear me?" William said in an emphatic tone. Laying down on the grass, she felt William's hand around her cheek. His other shaking her gently.

"She's moving!" Phoenix exclaimed.

Blinking several times, Jane frowned when she looked at a disheveled  William who was completely soaked.

"What happened?" She asked.

She waited for an answer but heard none. William looked intensely into her eyes as if she were a ghost. However, Phoenix broke the silence saying, "You're one lucky girl! I don't know what happened down there and for how long you stayed, but if it were one of Galactivix people, I don't think they would've survived. It's the first time I'm glad about William not listening to me. He jumped in the water at the right time."

Jane gasped in bewilderment. "How is it possible?"

"I don't know," William said painstakingly. "It's all my fault. I forced you to go into the water."

"No, it's not," Jane argued. "I wasn't  scared in the water. Actually, I love it. Just like magnet. I'm going back."

"No, you're not." He ordered.

"Giving orders are we now?" Jane attempted to move from her sitting position, but William held her wrist. "I said no," he challenged.

Jane pushed him away and stood up, "You said it is essential. I have to do it whether you liked it or not."

William started pulling his sweater. "What are you doing?" Jane asked.

"Taking off my clothes," he stated as if it was an obvious thing.

"Why?"

"You're not going down alone. I'll help you," he asserted, sonorously.

Jane nodded silently. He would never listen.

With that Jane felt William's arm around her waist, not wasting any more time. "Ready?" William asked, tightening his hold.

"Yes," she smiled.
