Jane opened her eyes, blinked couple of times in order to register her surroundings, she was uncertain where she was, but she remembered really well that William kidnapped her, she remembered seeing her kitten too, but after that she had a blur vision of what happened. One thing she was sure about was that she had to run away, she was in a cottage, she yanked the covers and went straight to the door, the door was opened ajar, she peaked to see William and a kitten with wings standing by his side, instantly she remembered, Tar, her own kitten had wings, how was that possible, it was either she was getting crazy or definitely getting crazy, she looked around, scanning the room, there was no equipment to defend herself, only a bed, a wooden table with two chairs, and a small bathroom, she went to the window, opened it without making any noise, she succeeded, she jumped and started running as fast as she could.
She stopped to take a breath, she could feel her heart hammering, " Jane," she heard William shrieked at the top of his lungs.
She paniked and started running again, she knew he would easily find her, he was taller than her, and she cursed the times when she could've practiced instead of being lazy by merely sitting and watching TV.
She hid under a shrub, praying that William wouldn't find her. There was complete silence, she felt a movement coming from behind her, the movement was getting closer and louder, she pulled a branch, getting ready for the encounter to find an adorable squirrel running beside her, she cracked a laugh forgetting for a moment that she was running away, leaning her back to feel the touch of something warm, she did not have the audacity to turn around instead she touched with her finger, she felt something shaggy hair, she made the reckless thing one could do in such situations, she squeezed whatever she was touching, to hear the most scariest sound in the world.
Jane fell on her back as a reaction of the growling brown bear that was standing on its hindfeet, bearing its sharp teeth, she screamed unable to move her numb feet anymore, she just closed her eyes helplessly. She waited for the pain but she heard none. She heard a low groan, she opened her eyes to see the bear laying on its back, she turned around to see none but William who was frowning and Jane noticed angry clouds race across the azure sky, she didn't know how, but she found herself facing William, "H-How did y-" she stuttered, dumbfounded of what just happened. William never removed his two fingers from his forehead.
"Let's move quickly before the bear wakes up, he is extremely frustrated because of someone," he glared at Jane while she averted her gaze to the ground, "it's your fault too, you shouldn't have brought me against my will, this is called kidnapping," Jane folded her hands.
William shook his head and didn't respond, he walked away and Jane followed, "Where am I? What is this place? Can you please answer me?" She put her hand on his wrist as an attempt to stop him, she felt how warm he was compared to her freezing hands, he stopped and looked into her eyes, "You will know everything, not here but in the cottage, now move," William looked deep into her eyes, turned his palm down and covered Jane's hand pulling her to walk in a fast pace towards the cottage.
