Chapter 11

"You have to understand this all started when I was about ten, when I was ten I was always considered the short fat kid and I never had many friends I was always the second choice and I had this this thought in my head that it was because I was fat so I started to skip meals every now and then I ended up not eating for a few days at a time and I got thinner and thinner and this went on until I was twelve then my mum noticed and took me to a therapist to help me and I eventually got better but because this went on for so long I had developed anorexia and as a result there was a chance I would never have kids" I look at mason and encourage by his gentle face I continue "of course I was devastated because what twelve year old girl doesn't want to get married and have kids, I got through school like a normal kid and made a best friend named emilie who later on almost saves my life but I'll get to that later, anyway um I met this boy named simon and we started going out and we lasted for ages but he started wanting to have sex with me and I Kept refusing because I was only like 13 but he just kept asking this went on until late last year when he eventually grab me and raped me" i stop because tears are choking me so I take a couple deep breathes and trying not look at mason "he would do this about once a week and I was afraid to break up with him because, I don't know why he just scared me, he stopped caring about me He only used me for sex and for a relationship at school but outside of school I was nothing" there was no way I could stop the tears now because I knew what would come next, I manage to compose myself and continue "after a few months of this I found out I was pregnant and I was shocked because I thought I could never have kids but then I realised I would have to tell my mother I tried my best to keep this incident about Simon in the blue but I think she got the idea I wasn't happy, eventually I told her about everything and she was very supportive but word got out at school and the rumors started then one day I bought a pregnancy test just to double check and it was positive but Simon walked in and snatched it from me and that was when he found out I was pregnant, so he put his hand on my stomach and said when is it due just like mike did today that's why I freaked out because yeah" I say checking my phone as an distraction from crying but I have to finish explaining so I take a deep breathe still avoiding masons face and continue "I broke up with him then shortly after I found out that I was going to have a miscarriage so I went and sorted things out, when I told simon that it was a miscarriage he got angry because he thought I got an abortion and he was completely against abortions and started bashing me but my friend emilie walked in and punched the shit out of him to get him off me and that's when I knew I would have to move and when I told mum she completely agreed and so we moved house and school and everything" I finish feeling like I just ran a marathon, bone tired I manage to look up at mason who hasn't made a sound since I started talk and do a double take, he looks angry and I can't figure out why then he says "that son of a bitch"
