I walk into the kitchen and I see mum doing the dishes, she turns around when she hears me come in she smiles at first but then her expression changes when she sees my face, "what's wrong, did something happen , is emilie alright" she says with concern in her voice, she knows I was on the phone to emilie but I don't think she would have guessed what I'm about to tell her. I shake my head and say "Simon has been asking about me, he somehow found out which suburb we moved to but is still trying to find out more information, like our street and my school" I pause for a second and look at the shock on my mums face and say "mummy, Im scared" at that moment I burst into tears and my mum dries her hands on a tea towel and hugs me tight, making soothing noises. I'm so close to telling my mum everything that has happened in the past two days but I hold myself back, she can't know everything she would freak out so I take a deep breathe and lie " mum, I know this is a lot to take in but I have a confession to make" my mum releases me and looks me in the eyes and says "honey, you can tell me anything you know that right?" I give her a small laugh and say "I know mum" my mum smiles at me and I can see she must have been very pretty when she was younger but now she has lines spidering out from the corners of her eyes and mouth, my mum says serious again "what do you need to tell me" I take a deep breathe and reply.
