Chapter 24

I hear my door knob rattle with someone trying to open it but it's locked, I turn to mason and say "keep playing your phone and only answer her if you absolutely have to" he nods quickly and picks up his phone. I take a deep breathe and wipe the tears from my face and walk over to my door and unlock it and open it, my mum stands in the door way a serious look on her face, she walks into the room pushing past me. she stops between mason and I, glaring at mason "Indiana why were you screaming?" She says in a very stern voice I laugh and says "oh mum calm down I was on my phone and I rolled over and I fell of the bed" mason smiles and nods but my mum doesn't look convinced "then why did I hear mason scream aswell" I laugh again and say "well when I fell of the bed mason laughed so I threw a pillow at him, mum you need to take a chill pill" mum looks at me them smiles and says "ok sorry, do you guys want something to eat or drink" I shake my head but mason says "um I can I have a drink of water please" my mum smiles and says "sure, I'll be right back" mum turns and leaves, I turn to mason open mouthed but he just shrugs his shoulder and says "I didn't see you offering so" I glare at him and throw a pillow at him but he just laughs and tackles me. I start laughing and mason is smiling down at me, his smile slowly slips off his face and doesn't stop looking down at me he slowly ducks his head so that our noses are touching. he kisses me so softly that I hardly even notice but I get a rush of energy through my body, I wrap my hands around his neck and press my body against his deepening the kiss. I hear my mothers foot steps in the hall way so I shove mason hard in the chest so he will roll over, mason looks at me questionly but I put my finger on my lip I say stay quiet. we lie side by side on the bed our finger tips touching talking in hushed voices when my mum opens the door. I can tell even this amount of touching she is not happy with but I know she isn't going to say anything about it. my mum walks over to mason and hands him the glass of water and says "if you want anything else just tell me don't be shy" with that she leaves quickly. as soon as the door closes behind her I leap off the bed and lock the door and turn to mason and smile wickedly. I run and leap ontop of him knocking him down,he laughs and starts to tickle me, I wiggle around laughing saying "no please, have mercy" which makes him laugh harder. he stops tickling me and makes me sit up, he turns to me smiling and says "let's play a game"
