37 | "This sounds a lot like a break up"

"So have you heard of that movie Constipation?"

"Is that even a real movie?"

"Piss off- so have you?"

"Can't say I have",

"It's probably because it hasn't come out yet",

There was silence at the table, 

"God damn it, Val".

"It was funny!" Valentino protested to Logan, Will, Grayson, Ethan, Kasey and Anna as I head towards their table during lunch in the cafeteria,

"Hi" I greeted them as I sat down in between Valentino and Kasey,

I received a chorus of enthusiastic hellos back.

"What are you doing here?" Logan asked, he had dark circles around his eyes and his hair looked out of place and yet somehow he still looked hot,

"Well Mia's studying in the library and Chase isn't at school today so I-",

"So we're your second choice? Your backup plan? I'm not here to be your second fucking option Alex",

What?

My heart clenched tightly in my chest as Logan stood up from his seat opposite me and walked down towards the hallway, leaving the cafeteria.

I hated how he said 'Alex' instead of Alexandra or honey; it didn't feel right on his tongue. Despite my dislike for my full name, I liked how it sounded when it came from Logan, it felt right.

Am I missing something?

"Looks like there's trouble in paradise," Anna spoke, the sides of her mouth slightly upturned,

"He's a bit snappy today" Will explained and I nodded,

"I-I'm going to see if he's alright," I told them,

Kasey grasped my wrist before I left, "There's a reason why he's acting like this, it's not you but he just needs someone to talk about it with".

I nodded before giving everyone at the table a tight smile before walking down the hallway towards Logan,

I spotted Logan who was at his locker sorting through the random shit that filled it, I think he was just trying to get through the next few minutes of lunch without going back to the cafeteria,

I walked towards him, my hands shaking;

Was this a fight?

Were we fighting?

"Hi" I said softly when I reached him.

He didn't say anything but slammed his locker closed and turned to face me, when he saw my face it seemed as if he had realized something and his hardened eyes softened.

"I'm sorry if I did something to-" I started but he cut me off,

"No it's not you, it's me," he said,

"This sounds a lot like a break up," I said laughing uncomfortably,

Logan looked distracted and when he didn't say anything to answer me, my eyes widened, "We're not breaking up are we?" I asked worriedly,

"No!" Logan said quickly, snapping out of his daze, "Definitely not"

I sighed in relief.

Goddamn Alex, give the guy some space.

"What's wrong?" I asked,

Space my ass.

"It-It's my mom's... Death anniversary today" he said slowly and my eyes widened,
