I shifted my weight from one foot to the other anxiously as we waiting in the stands at the gathering.
It would be a while before the mayor would start his speech and the gun burning in my back pocket wasn't doing anything to make me any less fidgety.
"Stop moving, you're making me nervous!" Mia scolded,
"Sorry-"
"And stop saying sorry" she muttered,
"Sor-" she shot me a glare to which I responded with a smirk, that one was to purposely piss her off.
"You're nervous," I stated as she tapped her foot anxiously while scanning the crowds,
"Thank you, Captain Obvious" she muttered,
"Always here to help, ma'am",
Her phone buzzed in her pocket and she quickly pulled it out, checked the message and slipped it back into her pocket.
"They're in position" she told me and I nodded,
We had 6 positions all around the stadium.
Megan and I stood in the stands, Chase and Liam stood on the opposite side of the stadium to us. Megan and Noah stood behind the stands while Dylan and Kyle were on the opposite side to them. Kasey was with Val, monitoring the car park with Ethan, Grayson and Will situated on the edges of the stadium.
"Why do I have a bad feeling about this?" Mia sighed,
"Maybe because we don't have a plan, anything could happen, we have no idea where Logan is, nothing suspicious is happening, which is suspicious and overall we're fucked",
"Well aren't you just the best person to be around today," Mia grumbled.

It took another hour for most of the town to join us and for the mayor to finally make an appearance.
As crowds of people piled in and filled the stadium, a short old man with grey hair and a moustache walked towards the podium, which was situated right in the middle of the field. He wore a crisp black suit and a red tie.
As soon as he walked out the crowd was silenced,
"Welcome to the annual Mayor's gathering!" he announced and everyone in the stadium erupted into an applause.
My foot tapped nervously against the floor and I chewed my lip anxiously,
"As you all know I am Mayor Kennedy and it's nice to see you all on such a bright and sunny day here at Grove Hill" he smiled brightly, "As always we'll start with some important issues to be addressed..." he trailed of and the next half hour was filled with announcements on things the city will be undergoing and further problems that will be fixed later on. I started noticing men in black suits appear on the edges of the stadium,
"Mia" I nudged her while nodding to the men and she noticed it too.
She pulled out her phone and began texting the group the new information.
Suddenly the Mayor Kennedy paused; he held his earpiece as he probably started receiving information from the person on the other side of it,
"S-sorry about the interruption" he stuttered looking around the stadium.
I stood up in my seat, as did Mia.
"I'm going to have to cut this gathering short, we have a minor inconvenience-" suddenly a loud gunshot rang throughout the field and silence came over the crowd.
