"And clap!" Monique instructed as the cheerleading squad stood in a V shaped formation practicing our cheer for the upcoming football game.
"That's it for today girls!" Mia said as the song that playing ended; the girls dispersed dropping their maroon pom poms in the basket before they left.
"Monique is such a bitch!" Mia told me as we headed for the bleachers awaiting Chase and the football team, "She puts herself and her friends in the front line when some of the girls work really hard and get placed in the back row!"
"Mia!" Monique called and motioned for her to come over there,
"Shit! Do you think she heard?"
"She's at least two hundred meters away from us, I doubt it"
"Yeah but what if like-"
"Mia!" Monique called again,
"If I don't come back in five minutes call the cops" Mia said to me before she walked over to Monique who was looking impatient.
I sat at the bleachers waiting for both Mia and Chase.
It had been a week since we went to the beach and found that body, I was shocked to say the least but the rest of the gang went about their lives, as everything was normal while I could barely comprehend what happened.
No one knew what Elliot was up to apart from what he told us when he spoke to Megan and Noah;
I waved goodbye to Mia as I stepped through the front door of the house, I could faintly hear yells coming from out the back and I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.
I could hear Noah and Megan's voice but I also heard three of which I did not recognize.
I got closer as I headed into the living room and I could make out some of their conversation,
"We're here to claim our land back Hunter," a voice said sternly,
"You're not welcome here anymore and neither is your gang" Noah replied
"You made an enemy out of us last year when you drove us out and we haven't forgotten that" the same voice told them,
"You should watch your backs" another voice joined in,
"We're back and this time we're looking for blood".
It was vague and brief, if he wanted land they would've directly confronted us, but he hasn't. Yet.
They were planning something bigger than claiming land and they weren't working alone. The whole week there were robberies and missing persons, much more than one gang could do alone.
Noah wouldn't let me help, and Megan and Chase weren't permitted to either, but obviously that didn't stop us form helping whenever we could.
Dylan was some kind of a genius with computers apparently and he had a lead prepped for everyday, unfortunately none of them led us to Elliot.
Mia and I kept up to date with any new news and activity that could help us trace Elliot, there wasn't much in the past few days which got us wondering if they were planning something else.
Noah relented and told Logan about the situation, Logan wasn't too happy about being left out of the loop.
Join the club.
Speaking of Logan, "Hey Alexandra" he said coming up to me at the bleachers, he was sweaty and gross and he sat right next to me putting his stinky arm around my shoulders.
