Ship of love chapter 20

I drove as fast as I can to the hospital breaking every rule along the way. I was hoping Arya was ok. Please god let my angels be alright I prayed silently.
"What did the nurse tell you?" asked mark from the back
"Nothing! She just said she was attacked in the parking lot and she's in the emergency room right now"
"I don't fucking understand, who would attack a women with two kids in a hospital parking lot?" mikey asked incredulously.
I didn't understand it either. We reached the hospital, I parked the car in an ambulance zone.
"Excuse me sir! You can't park here it's not allowed" yelled an EMT
"Who gives a shit!" I yelled back. Mark ran after me and said
"Give me the keys Jason i'll park the car for you" I threw them at him and ran inside. I went to the front desk with Mike and yelled " who the hell is April Simms?" just then a brown haired young girl turned around.
"That's me, who wants to know" she said
"I'm Jason, where the hell is Arya and my boys?" I said
"Arya is still in the emergency room and the boys are back in day care"
"What happened to her?" I asked
"Arya was attacked in the parking lot" she said
"Oh my god she's like a fucking parrot!" I told mike. " how many times did you tell me that? Why is she in there?" I asked her screaming
"Arya has a few broken ribs and she was stabbed..." my heart stopped right there. I cut her off
"What do you mean she was stabbed? Where was she stabbed?" I asked her. Mikey put his hand on my shoulder. "Let her finish Jason" he told me. I told her to go on, She nodded her head and continued.
"She was stabbed in her right upper thigh and she lost consciousness from loss of blood"
"Is she going to be ok?" I asked her
"Yes, she should be but I think u should wait for the doctor to tell you more"
"Did they catch the bastard that did this to her?" asked mark. I didn't even notice he was there until now.
"yes they did" she said
"Who was it? Do they know?" Asked Mike
"Yes, it was one of the doctors here at the hospital"
We were all shocked. "What! Why the hell did he do that?" I asked in a hard voice.
April leaned closer to us as if she was getting ready to tell us the biggest secret of the century.
"Well I heard Alex has been asking Arya out for a while now, but she always told him no because she wasn't attracted to him and she was in love with someone else. I guess he followed her out and went all psycho on her" she said shaking her head.
I was literally shaking from rage, I turned and hit the wall and made my knuckles bleed.
"I want to see her" I said not caring my knuckles are bleeding.
"Go to the third floor and wait in the waiting room until the doctor comes out"
I nodded and turned to walk away but decided I wanted to see my boys first.
"Where's the daycare?" I asked her.
"The day care is down the hall and take two lefts until you see the sign that says daycare "
I thanked her and walked away. "Are you ok Jason?" asked Mark
"No but I will be once I see Arya and the twins"
We walked into the daycare and seen it full, I looked around until I seen my boys in a caged area playing with their toys. I was going to walk towards them until a middle aged woman stopped us.
"Hi, can I help you with something?" she asked
"Yes I'm here to see my sons Jackson and Avery Thompson"
"You're their father?" she asked surprised
"No I'm their mother" I said sarcastically. She rolled her eyes and walked towards a computer,
She typed in something and asked for my ID. I pulled out my drivers license and showed it to her.
"Who are these two?" she asked
"My friends" I said. She looked at them and said
"Sorry they're not allowed in here, they have to wait outside. Only family members are allowed"
"You got to be kidding me, they are like..." mikey cut me off
"It's ok Jace, just go see your boys we'll be outside waiting for you" they both walked outside
I walked towards the twins and stopped in front of the gate looking down at them. Avery looked up and started laughing and bouncing up and down once he noticed me. I started laughing and bent down to pick him up. I kissed his cheek and squeezed him tight thanking god nothing bad happened to them. Just then someone said "Da da" I looked down and seen Jackson holding up his arms waiting for me to pick him up. "Dada' he said again showing off his dimpled smile. I couldn't believe it, he said dada. He said dada, I teared up a bit. I picked him up to and kissed his cheek also. They started pulling on my hair. I walked outside with them but not before telling the woman I'll be back. Mark and Mikey looked at the twins with grins on their faces.
"They're beautiful kids" said Mark. He took Avery out of my arms and started playing with him.
"They look like both you and Arya" said Mike. He took Jackson out of my arms.
"Which ones which?" asked Mike
"The one you're holding is Jackson and the other one is Avery"
"You can tell them apart Avery has your eyes and Jackson has his mothers" said Mike in awe as he was playing with Jackson. The twins giggled and it made my heart seem lighter. I know I sound like a girl right now, but I don't give a shit because I'm a proud papa of two adorable boys, now all we need is our angel with us and everything would be perfect.
