23 - New Skills.

KYLIES POV

I opened the curtains and let the sun warm up my face. It was refreshing. I watched the birds fly across the sky, in pairs; with their soul mates. The trees felt green and the flowers bloomed, the clouds feeling fluffy and soft. The ants explored and the cat roared trying to find a good enough meal. I jumped onto my bed and snuggled into the blankets. I squiggled and squirmed so much that I was trapped. I smiled and laughed at myself, I felt so happy today.

"Help" I softly muffled.

The door burst open and there stood Jake with a tired look on his face. He was on autopilot, his chocolate hair was all messy and knotted. He stood there only in his boxers, he rubbed his eyes annoyed.

"You're trapped in your blankets again aren't you?"

I hid deeper in the sheets "Yep"

I heard a big thump followed by a heavy thing on top of me.

"Get off!" I giggled.

"Never!"

We wrestled for a while and in the end he was trapped in the sheets. I was on top of him and I removed the sheet that covered his mouth. He breathed heavily and blew some of his bad morning breath in my face.

"EWWWWW! JAKE!"

"Hahahahhahaha"

He tried to get out of the sheets but I wrapped them tightly around him and he was stuck.

"I'm stuck" he whimpered.

"I told you not to challenge me." I laughed.

"Fine" He said in an 'I give up' tone "I surrender."

I jumped off him and whooshed downstairs. I turned the kettle on and washed the dishes within a few seconds. I heard Jake thump down the stairs he watched me do everything so speedily.

"How do you do that?"

I zoomed to the fridge and grabbed some ingredients to make breakfast.

"Do what?" I asked back smirking.

"Do everything so fast."

"Well I'm very self-taught I guess. No one taught me this stuff Jake I just figured it out."

"Can you teach me now? You said you would last night."

I poured the coffee in the coffee mug. "You want to learn how to use your powers?"

He chuckled "Yeah."

I threw a knife towards him "Catch"

He jumped up and dodged it "What the hell Kylie!?"

"I wanted to see how fast you were." I said while chopping onions. "It wouldn't have hurt you much anyway"

His eyes widened "Wouldn't have hurt me, wouldn't have hurt me!?"

"Yeah you would've healed, I found that out a stupid way."

He sat down on the stool in front of the bench "What happened?"

"I didn't know if it was going to work or not but when I first found out I was different I tested my powers. I stabbed myself in the hand with a SWISS army knife. It really hurt but it healed quickly."

"What other powers do you have?"

"Well" I thought "Let's see, I have incredible strength, super speed, telepathy, compulsion and I can heal. I tried flying once, I landed on my feet and I didn't die so I guess I can jump high I guess."
