They sat at the table for what seemed like hours. Well Levi said they were the best hours of his life. The candle light mixed with the nice food and loud laughter just made the room lift to a light and fluffy atmosphere. Armin decided to let them have time alone and headed out, thanking them for everything. As the night came to an end and the couple had to go back to the hospital, both of them slowly tapping their feet at the thought. They had incredibly awful luck, especially after everything that had happened. Even slowly creeped up from his chair, wiping his mouth before going to Levi and help him up. He was so damn frail it hurt him no one said a thing. The silence wasn't awkward though, no. No it was much more like a sweet tone that kept a ringing of solitude lingering throughout. It made Eren warm, as if he was protecting and being protected by Levi.
Levi was the first to speak up, getting into the wheelchair with a heavy grunt. "This will happen again, right brat?" He chuckled, having his permanent smug look plastered across his pale face. Eren rolled his eyes, pushing him along. "Yes, the brat may have that happen." Eren could hear his old falling apart shoes clamping the ground as he opened the door and squeezed Levi out. Then proceeded to lock the door, taking a deep breath.
"You know..." Levi let out a sigh, his head leaning back to look at the eerie night sky. "It's really gorgeous out tonight..." He usually didn't open like that, it somewhat taking Eren away for a second before smiling with him. "Well, you'll get to see the gorgeous sky a lot more. We both can look up and sit out.— I mean if you want t—" Levi interrupted. "Yes.. yes, thank you.." He murmured, shakily put his hand up and took Erens for a second, as if to indicate to stop walking. "Eren..." He said in a muffled, broken voice. "Yeah?"
"This is the best night of my life... I don't think I've ever smiled so much or laughed so much or even felt as if I belonged somewhere as much as when I was with you... why is that...? I've never felt this way, ever..." His eyes told a story, the deep grey reflecting the galaxy as it danced through the shimmering lights in the sky. His fair face almost glowing as the moon seemed to only beam on them, at that moment. It felt as if they were the only two people in the world and it didn't matter who was there to ruin it, nothing could. After everything that had happened to them, nothing, no one. Could take that moment away from them...
"I love you Levi..." He whispered, beginning to push him along to take him to a field to lay him down. Eren steadily pushed him for about fifteen minutes, until they found the perfect spot. Eren smiled adorably as he easily picked Levi up and laid him out in the grass, then cuddled next to him. "How's this spot...?" Eren whispered, both of them obviously tired but tried not to fall asleep in each other's arms. They knew Levi would get in trouble, both sighing. "It's perfect brat." He smirked, his nose slightly scrunching up cutely as Eren held him close, Levi eventually falling asleep.
Eren watched him, seeing how his breathing went up and down and how his mouth slightly opened, how when he breathed in, his collarbones became more distinct. "I love you Levi... so so much..." He cooed, touching his dark silky hair as he slowly sat up. He knew it was time to take him back but didn't want to wake him up. He just slowly scooped him up and they were off back to the hospital. Knowing this cycle would continue for a few months.
