Sasha POV
I let go and enjoy the music, it's beat like a pulse in my body, the thrum of my heartbeat.
My heart is beating in my throat, my heartbeat matching the music.Eventually I take a break and go to the bar. 'One cola please.' I say and turn around only to see Ryan.
'You were great on the stage.'
'Thanks.' I say without emotion and take my drink from the waiter.
He sighs. 'Look Sasha, I'm sorry for all the bullying. I now realize that I made a mistake and I am willing to do anything to start over and have you forgive me.' He says sincerely, the sadness and hurt in his voice evident.
'Sorry Ryan, I'm just not ready yet.' I say.
'I understand.' He says softly and turns around and leaves.
I sit there for a while, dance again and then I decide to go home.
Once I'm home I see my family there and quickly explain what happened to avoid the whole preach. Then I go upstairs and change clothes.
Eventually I see Luke coming in. I look away as he changes clothes.
When he is done we look at each other. Luke grabs paper, writes something and holds it up. 'Hello.' it says.
'Hello. Like Taylor Swift?' I write. He blushes a little and says 'yes, how did you know?'
'Because of the fact that we're communicating with paper. Looking at each other through the windows. You're not the only one. Me too, especially her song 'You belong with me', including the videoclip. The video is amazing.'
'I KNOW RIGHT!' He writes back and holds it up. I chuckle at his message.
'She is your idol?'
'Yes, I'm not afraid to admit it.'
'I have to go to sleep 🙁'
'Bye 👋🏽'
'Bye 👋🏽'
I put it aside, close the curtains and go to sleep.
-The next day-
I wake up and yawn. I sit up and then I decide to stay in bed fall back in bed again.
'Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday Dear Sasha! Happy Birthday to you!' I hear seven voices sing.
I absolutely hate this moment when it's my birthday, though it is sweet. I just don't know where to look, it's so awkward.
When they finally finish I hug them. They push the presents in my face and I chuckle and open them.
I got a few video games, new pencils, pastel crayons and few other things. When they leave I start eating the breakfast they brought up. It's a tradition.
I open the curtains and door. 'Hey, is it your birthday?' Luke asks. I nod.
'You should've told us, then we would've been prepared.' He says.
I wave it off. 'No need. When is your birthday?'
'In two days.' He says and I almost choke.
'Two days?!' I say. We talk on for a while and then we mind our own business.
I look on my laptop. I know the perfect present for Luke. It's expensive, but I consider him a friend, so it's worth it.
-Two days later- (A/n am I the only one who says this in that voice they use in spongebob?)
After school I knock on Luke's front door, standing in the pouring rain. He opens and I see his family and usual gang. I see an older guy I haven't met before.
'Sasha.' He sounds surprised.
'That's me. Hey Luke.' I say dryly.
'What are you doing here? I didn't expect you. Despite the fact that you're my friend. Well, I consider you one.'
'I'm here to ride on a pony. No it's your Birthday idiot why else would I be here?' I say sarcastically.
'....'
'Well, can you let me in or should I go back home?'
'Oh, sorry!' He says and I hear his friends and family laugh.
I slip in, pull off my jacket and walk to the living room.
I walk up to the older guy. 'Who are you?' I ask.
He chuckles. 'I'm Lucius, the oldest of the three.'
'I'm Sasha, your neighbor and your brothers dance trainer and classmate.' I shake his hand.
'Nice to meet you Sasha.'
Before I can respond, I feel four bodies tackle me to the ground. Again. I groan.
'Really guys? I'm going to suffocate sooner or later because you are so heavy. What is it with you guys and tackling me anyway?' I say.
'Take it as revenge for throwing us into the water.' Luke says.
'Come on. Wasn't the tickling enough?' I whine, even though this isn't really revenge to me, but there is no way I'm going to say that.
'Nope.' He responds, popping the p.
'Then you won't get your present, and believe me, you'll like it. A lot.'
'What is my present?' He asks.
'You would like to know huh?' I can imagine that the others are looking weirdly at us right now, having a conversation while I'm laying on the ground and the others are on me.
He gets off me eventually. I hand him an envelop. He looks at me confused.
I smile and say 'just open it!'
He does so and his eyes widen and he shrieks. He looks at me. 'Are you kidding me?'
I shake my head. 'Nope, its two tickets. You can take a friend along. I already thought you'd approve.' The last sentence was accompanied with a chuckle.
He shows it to the others. 'They're tickets to a Taylor swift concert.' He calls out and they all react enthusiastic. 'I'm taking you along. How did you even pay that?' He asks curiously.
'It's good that I'm a saver when it comes to money.'
He hugs me. 'Thank you Sasha.' One tear slips from his eye. He is a true Swiftie then. I smile at the thought.
