Sasha POV
I look at the students and smile. They've improved. I clap twice for attention.'Alright guys, that'll be it for today. Next week I'm going to join you for some dances, because the coaches just had to force a role upon me.' I say.
'What is the story exactly?' Adrian asks.
'It is about a girl who is being bullied. She falls in deep depression, but covers it up with fake smiles. She still does anything for others to make them happy. But when she needs help, no one is there. Her only spark of light is her friend who lives far away. I am still thinking about the ending. There are two choices so yeah.'
'What are the two choices?' A boy asks.
'She attempts suicide. Should she live or die? I'm think about dying, because I want to make a message about what bullies can do to people, in the hope that they'll stop before it's too late.' I reply.
'You're playing the girl aren't you?' Adrian asks.
'Correct. I'm the only girl, who else can play it?' I show them a few dances and the script. It's pretty short so it isn't very hard.
we spend the lesson, well, dancing. we practice the first few scenes and I practice singing with Mason. I tell the boys how to express their emotion in the dance. After the lesson I let Ryan stay. Of course the others have to stay too.
'Ryan, dance!' I command and let him dance the whole time for almost an hour. When he falters and stops for a moment, I force him to go on.
When he is finished he collapses on the floor groaning and holding his feet.
'How do you survive that?' He asks.
'I've done that many times, it's not much of an effort anymore.' I say simply.
I add: 'if there is one thing you should know Ryan, then it is that dancers have muscles like weight lifters, the flexibility of contortionists, stunts like cheerleaders, strength like football players, tumbling like gymnasts, legs like soccer players and they can handle pain like nobody else.'
I dismiss them and go home.
I eat dinner and go upstairs. I change into comfy shorts and hoodie, fall on the bed and fall asleep quite quickly. Yes, I sleep in hoodies.
-the next day-
I do the daily things and go to school. In my fourth period I'm without the boys. I yawn when the bell rings. I rush out of the classroom to escape the boring lesson.
'Nice ass.' someone says and squeezes my butt. I turn around to see a grinning stranger, probably another perverted flirt at school. Wait, I think that is Brandon, there are rumors he bullies people, but nobody has proof.
'you must be wearing space pants because your ass is out of this world.' he says.
I raise my eyebrow. Seriously? Space pants? 'actually, they're baseball pants because my ass is way out of your league.' I respond sweetly.
He looks mad. Very mad. 'you weak little bitch.' He hisses.
'I. Am. Not. Weak.' I say through gritted teeth.
'yes you are. You dont have muscle or good comebacks. besides, you're ugly.' I narrow my eyes at his ugly face and slap him straight in the face. He stumbles backwards a little and everyone gasps. I roll my eyes. He glares at me.
'you don't know one single thing about me.' I say.
'I do know you won't survive high school.' he says with a hidden threat in it.
I chuckle darkly. 'Darling, survival is my middle name.' I say and leave. I feel everyone's eyes on me but ignore it and put up a stone mask.
The rest of the day goes by slowly. 'Come on, why is time such a snail right now and a jaguar when I have fun?' I complain in the last period.
Kygo shrugs. 'I don't know. Time is money. And a bitch too.' He says.
'That's true.' I agree.
The teacher keeps blabbering on about something that happened in who knows which century. I yawn. Boring.
I grab my bag and walk out of the door, ignoring the teacher. He'll forget it soon anyway, he doesn't remember anything. He reads every word in the books. I don't even know why he is accepted as teacher here.
I saunter home.
'HEY GUYS!' I yell through the house.
'Hey Sasha, you're home early.' Lloyd says, entering the room while rubbing his ears.
'You don't have to yell you know. Our ears work just fine.' He adds.
'The teacher let us out early. I know, but it's more fun to yell at you guys and temporarily deafen you.'
I sit upstairs making homework when the bell goes. I run downstairs and open it. Adrian.
'What do you want?' I snap and then I sigh. 'Sorry, I'm just.....' I trail off.
'It doesn't matter. I wanted to talk. Maybe we could go to the park?' He says and I nod.
We walk to the park and settle down on a bench at the river.
Crystalline blue water with many fish in it streams towards the city, where you can see buildings creating a beautiful view.
At the other side the river goes on for a while and then it leads to sea. We're pretty close to the shore and there are a few lush green hills and a meadow with many flowers and animals creating a gorgeous landscape.
Adrian has this painful faraway look on his face, he is so far away, yet so close by.
I gently nudge him. He jumps a little and seems to escape out of his dream.
Adrian POV
'I know I can't apologize for my dad, but I'm still going to do so anyway. I'm sorry for what he did. I never thought he'd go this far.' I say.'Wait what?! He did this to you too?' She asks, her concerned blue eyes penetrating my soul.
I gulp and a flicker of emotion shows but I quickly hide it. It was not fast enough to escape Sasha's sharp eye.
Her eyes soften a little. 'He also abused you and your family didn't he? Slapping and punching.' She asks.
I hesitate but then I nod wordlessly. She hugs me and lays her head on my shoulder.
I turn rigid at first, but then I relax. This is Sasha, the sweetest and most forgiving girl you can imagine. I don't even deserve her forgiveness.
A tear escapes and I wipe it away roughly. But then more tears follow and I can't stop them.
'Shhhh, shhhhh, calm down, it's going to be alright.' Sasha's soothing voice rings in my ear and I bury my face into the crook of her neck and my arms snake around her waist while she caresses and plays with my hair. She smells like vanilla honey.
'H-he......' I can't get it over my lips and I look down.
'He what, Adrian? You don't have to tell me.' She says gently.
'N-no, you deserve to know.' Why, I didn't know.
'He..... r-r-r......' I stutter.
'Hey, Adrian. Look at me, it'll be fine, I won't judge you.' She says and lifts my chin up so I look her in the eyes. A calming abyss of ocean blue.
'He raped me.' I say shakily.
So, what do ya think? Now you know something else about Adrian.
Every time I'm supposed to type Adrian I type Ryan 😂
