The train slammed to a stop waking me from my sleep. I yawned and wiped my eyes. I had two more stops so about twenty minutes left on the train. I had been asleep so long! The carriage I was in was now almost full. I text Grace to tell her where I am.

'Hey Gracieee! Two more stops Hun! Aahh! Haha:)xx' again, she replied straight away.

'Great! I'll get my mum to drive down to meet you soon:)xx'

Pulling my headphones off to hang around my neck, I gathered my bags together, shoved my phone in my pocket, and prepared to get ready to get off the train. One stop left, I was more than excited! I hadn't seen her in so long and I only had 5 minutes to wait now!:)

I was looking through the window with eager eyes. The platform was getting closer and closer and I was trying to spot Grace. There she was! Looking gorgeous as usual. She saw me in the window and started jumping and waving, I waved back with the biggest grin on my face. She ran after my carriage as the train slowed to a stop, and waited for me at the doors. I picked up my things and ran to the doors to meet her.

I jumped of the train, dropped my bags and flung my arms around her. She squeezed me really tight and screamed my name.
"LOOOOOUU!! Aaah!"
"Ohmygosh Gracie! Stop getting so pretty!" I said to her with a massive smile. She smiled, laughed and said that was rich coming from me. I sarcastically laughed, rolled my eyes and hugged her again. Ive missed her so much.
"Do you want some help with those huge bags!" Steve called from a few metres away. Steve was graces dad and the funniest, happiest, friendliest man in the world. He treated me like his own daughter and I felt so comfortable around him.
"Steveee!" I ran up to him giving him a hug.
"Hey munchkin! Wow haven't you grown!" He patted my head an laughed. He was always picking on my height. I'm not even that short! But to him I'm tiny, he's about 6ft2.
I laughed and walked back to my bags and picked them up. He took them from me and started walking to the car. Grace put her arm over my shoulder and we followed Steve, smiling and giggling like little girls.

Kate, Graces mum, was waiting in the car for us. When she saw us walking over and got out of the car and walked over to me with arms open.
"Oh my darling Lou! How are you!" She called everyone darling, it always managed to make me smile. Kate was tall, slim, gorgeous and was so selfless. She never judged anyone. She pulled me into a warm hug. She had a sweet perfume on, I breathed it in and said
"Kate! It's so good to see you again. I'm good thankyou, how are you?" I pulled away.
"Good. And yes I'm good too, you look much older since last summer! Wow!" She looked at me and smiled.
"Let's get in the car." Kate said and turned back to get in. Steve had put my bags in the boot and we all got in the car. I loved this family like they were my own. I almost felt like I fitted in more here than I did at home...
The conversation on journey home consisted of the usual: how I am; how much I've changed; how's school; where I've moved to and how my parents are. We passed a big sign reading 'Bournemouth Beach Bash'.

"Bournemouth beach bash?" I questioned.
"Yeah, it's a new thing. There will be a huge party at the beach with the fairground rides, live music, fireworks, stalls, food, the lot! I was thinking we could go? It's for tonight only." Grace answered enthusiastically. It sounded great! I would really love to go. My dad did say no parties but he wasn't here and I wasn't going to let that ruin things:) I'm such a rebel..
"It sounds brill! I'd love too!"
"Great! Do you mind if Will tags along?" Will was graces boyfriend, I had never met him before but I had heard a lot about him.
"Sure! It's about time I meet this guy." I said to her raising my eyebrows and smiling. This made her blush. She pulled out her phone and text him. He would meet us at 6:30 on the pier.
