James' p o v
Although will apologised, I'm still finding it uncomfortable to be around him. We stand here waiting for the girls in complete silence.
Complete awkward silence.
My hands are shoved into my pockets and I stare at the tarmac pavement. I wish they would hurry up. I began to hear faint voices in the distance and some familiar boots came into my view, I raised my head and locked onto her eyes.
Thank god. I found myself smiling at her, and she was at me.
"So how are things?" Grace asked straight away, looking between will and me.
"Sorted." he said and kissed her cheek. No, they are not sorted.
I still hate you, just maybe not as much.
"Great." grace grinned. We made conversation between the four of us, mainly about graces amazing performance, before her parents met up with us again. They both congratulated grace some more before announcing that they would have dinner at Kate's restaurant to celebrate. It's so cool how her mum owns an extremely high class, popular restaurant, I've never been before.
"James, would you like to join us?" Grace asked, braking me from my thoughts.
"If you'll have me!" I would really love to go. Maybe they do chicken...
"We would love to!" Kate said smiling.
"Then it's settled!" Steve clapped his hands together. "6 for dinner."
6, of course.
Will is coming too.Ugh.
Hopefully the more time I spend with him, the more I will be able to stand him.
I was too meet the millers, lou and will at the restaurant at 8 and told to wear something 'fancy but not too fancy'. I would really love to speak to Lou privately but I can't, they were already making their way to their car. I managed to get in a quick goodbye before she left. I drove home, playing my favourite Taylor swift cd.Lou's p o v
3 hours to get ready for tonight, and where to start! Grace has forced me into wearing a dress. I hate wearing dresses because I'm so uncomfortable in them, but this one seemed ok I guess. I jumped in the shower, once I finished I blow dried my long hair and slung it into a messy bun to keep it away from my face. I then started with my make up. I put on my foundation, filled in my eyebrows, put on some blush and began to do my eyes. I did smudged eyeliner flicks, and a natural eyeshadow, then finishing with some mascara.
Now it was time for my dress. I always put my outfit on first because if not I manage to mess up my hair. I learnt that the hard way. My dress was a skater dress. It was a beautiful peachy nude colour, with soft fabric that took me in at the waist and hung perfectly around my legs. I matched it with my nude heels, favourite necklace, and my leather jacket. Just for that special 'Lou' touch:).
I lightly curled my hair and pinned the side piece back, I didn't do too much to it.
"Looou? You ready?" Steve called from downstairs.
"Coming!"
I squirted my perfume a few times and carefully made my way downstairs. I didn't want to fall over with my heels on. It sounds like something I would do...
As I hobbled down the stairs, I overheard Steve and Grace say my name. And the james' name. Curiously, I paused on the step and began to eavesdrop.
"Yeah, did you see them today?" Grace said.
"Mmhmm, he had his arm around her at one point. I'm almost convinced that they are dating, but just haven't told anyone."
"Nah, she would tell me... Or I'd force it out of her, either one."
"Hahaa, ahh I'll give it 2 days and they'll be a couple then."
"I give it a week."
"Wanna bet?"
"It's on dad, £10?"
"It's a done deal." Their hands clap together in a hand shake.
Great!
What's better than having people bet on you getting in a relationship? I guess it doesn't surprise me too much, but that doesn't mean that it's not reeeeaally annoying.
When I got in the kitchen, where all the others were, silence fell. They all stared at me as if I was something to eat. I looked around to see if there was something I've missed, but everything looks normal.
"What?" I asked finally.
"You look different... Attractive." Steve said with raise eyebrows. I'm not sure how to take that...
"Wow Steve! Thanks!"
"Hahaha no but seriously, you do look really great. Dresses suit you lots Lou." I circle of nods went round and I laughed a little. I looked down at my dress and then back to steve.
"Can we go now please?" I was beginning to feel uncomfortable with everyone looking at me. And I really couldn't wait to see James again.
