Chapter 9- Texting Lou

It was 6pm.

I'm about to text Lou. I think I will ask her if she wants to do something with me tomorrow but I have no idea what... Bowlings fun! It will do:)

I kept thinking about what she said about her parents disapproving of music and photography. How could she put up with that! I would hate it. I felt so so sorry for her, she wasn't allowed to do the thing she loved because of them. And they sent her away every summer. Talk about bad parenting...

And what about me? Her

parents would completely hate me because of my music.

I scrolled to find her name and number in my contacts and went for it.

'Hey Lou!:) it's James, are you doing anything tomorrow?x'

I debated over how many kisses to put. I got a reply quite quickly.

'Hey you:) and hmm hanging out with you I guess;)xx' I smiled at my phone.

'Awesome:) fancy bowling? I'll pick you up at 11 xx'

'Get ready for me to beat your arse! Hehe:) see you tomorrow McVey;)xx'

I liked the way she worded things, and how she called me McVey. She text me her address, well her friends, i knew roughly where it was. I now cannot wait for tomorrow, it's going to be great! I hope she doesn't have to go so quickly this time.

At dinner, when I wasn't eating much, my mum asked what I had done today. I told her that I took a girl out for lunch and immediately the teasing began. My dad and mum were ooh-ing and my sister was making kissing noises. I must have have gone bright red because they were all laughing at me.

"Leave me alone!" I pleaded as I felt my cheeks burning. My mum patted my back and sarcastically aaww-ed, then they all started asking me questions about her.

I told them her name, about her photography, and her being here for the summer. That was all. I didn't want them knowing too much. I left the table and went to my room.

For the next few hours I played my guitar and sang quietly to myself. I searched the chords to 'yellow' by Coldplay and memorised it. This was one of her favourite songs:).

I'm thinking of planning a little surprise for her tomorrow, she did want to hear me play after all;)..
