Misty completed college in three years due to her taking on as many extra classes as she could. Misty's teachers were tremendously delighted with her attitude and attention to details. She graduated with one of the highest GPA scores in her college, the other person had done all four years. She felt gratified that she was able to achieve that for herself, she did it, no one else. She did had fun throughout the years, Lynda wouldn't allow her to always hide and just study all the time, Lynda said "Misty, you're my best friend and I am completely worried about you, you spend all your time studying and pushing yourself so hard, you have to make time for fun Misty, you just have to!" Misty said "after graduation a job will be enough, for now. But I'll always make time for you, my best friend and of course the ever-handsome brother of yours, Charlie and that it perfectly ok that I have a friend that was is a boy. Right?" she winked her eye.
After college Misty stayed in the area for about a year because of Lynda, so that she could be close to her best friend. The two were always together if Lynda wasn't in class and Misty wasn't at her part-time job, they were making up for the time that Misty missed out on when in college because she was so busy trying to do the impossible class load that she took on. Misty had rented a two-bedroom apartment within walking distance from the college so that Lynda could come over all the time. She rented all the furniture for the apartment and she made sure that she had a room set up for Lynda in case she ever wanted to move off campus or to just crash at her place. The two girls went to parties and Misty began to come out of her shell and open up more. She learned how to have fun and to laugh. Misty saw what she had missed out on while she was holed up in her tower with her face in books. The last year that Lynda was in college was so incredible for Misty. The two grew even closer than before. They both didn't think that was possible and she knew that they would have to be close to each other. Lynda finally got to see Misty let go, not being so detached and withdrawn from life or herself any longer. Misty was dancing, laughing and letting her hair down and enjoying life to the fullest that she could. It was like watching a caterpillar transform into the most beautiful butterfly who wasn't afraid to fly.
Misty thought that for her to be taken seriously in her life and at her job that she needed to have an advantage or edge that no one else had, she made sure that she always had expectations higher than those of the company she was working at and she always preformed to the best of her ability, basically 100% of the time. This made her seem reserved and impassive at times but she was just so invested in her overall performance that she really didn't care what people said about her personally but she had this desperate desire to be perfect at her job, it was almost an obsession. While speaking to the other heads of the departments on the floor she worked on and she held her head up high and she had her very always present positive attitude, it was contagious. Once someone would talk to her and if they weren't all cheery and happy before they talked to her, they were once they were done and it would spread through the office, positive vibes were all over the building. She always dressed in professional attire, pant suites, dresses, that not only followed what she had deemed appropriate but also what followed the company dress code guidelines. She never wore anything that could be misleading, no low-cut blouses, no high skirts and no racy dresses, she didn't even own clothes like that anyways. This was because of her past where she wanted to be presentable but not really stand out of the crowd for the wrong reasons. She always wore high heels, usually 6 inches, she didn't want to be seen as insignificant or forgettable anymore, she felt that it helped her overcome some of her insecurities of not being taken seriously or perceived as having some important contribution to the company.
Misty knew that she wanted to live close to Lynda, the Chaplin's and Charlie. She went shopping for a car, she found a 2009 Bentley Continental Flying Spur 4 door sedan, she loved the car and asked the sales man how much the car was and questions about specifics about the model. The sales man looked at her and said "I'm sorry sweetheart, I don't think that we have anything that will fit within your budget, there is a used car dealership just up the road to the left maybe you'll have more luck finding something in your price range." She looked at him and said "you didn't even bother to ask me what my price range is. So how do you know that I can't afford the car?" she retorted. The sales man whose shirt said "Alan" shook his head and said "listen honey, you can't buy anything here and you're wasting my time and time is money, so go ahead to that used dealership I told you about." She was shocked, sure she was dressed in jeans and a tee-shirt but that's what she felt comfortable in. She asked him about taking the car for a test drive, he laughed at her and said "there is no way that I am letting you get behind the wheel of a Bentley and drive it around!" Misty was getting pretty fucking mad at this point and said that she wanted to talk to the manager of the dealership. Alan laughed and said "he doesn't have time to waste on someone like you!" "What the fuck is that supposed to mean asshole?" she yelled. The manager heard the commotion and came over to see what the issue was and Misty told the manager about the issue with Alan and Alan told the manager that she was wasting his time and he needed to get to actual customers who would be buying something. The manager's name was Edward, he calmly apologized to Misty and stated that he would be right back. Both Alan and Edward disappeared into an office and that was when Misty heard yelling and cursing and then Edward came out alone and asked Misty what it was that she was looking for in a car. Misty told him that she wanted a 2009 Bentley Continental Flying Spur 4 door sedan. Edward smiled and brought her over to a few models that they had, he offered her test drives on all the vehicles and she did take one out and it was a white one, it was beautiful. Misty absolutely fell in love with the car, she liked all the features that the model had and when they returned to the car dealership after the test drive.
