Boundaries..... It's not just a word

Chapter 24

Liam walked back to his car and drove home and felt very happy about how things were going with Misty. She truly was unique and he knew that he wanted to keep seeing her. He wanted to see where things were going to go between the two of them and he was hoping that it was going to be an amazing time. There had never been a time that he could recall where he was so happy and to top it off she wasn't after his money, she liked him for him. Liam was a little unhappy that she protested so much about him pampering her. He would really like it if she just let him take control, control over all the details on their dates and relationship if one were to arise. It was something that he really wanted to do but she resisted with unwavering conviction. He knew that she had her own money. What he had no way of knowing was and could not have known was how much she hated it when anyone was spending any money on her. To him this was truly incredible, he always had to try and find out if the woman he was with was there for him or his wallet. So, this unexpected response from her, made him think about what he could do, what dates could he take her on that would help him win her over, instead of attempting to use his money, to create his desired attention and affection from her.

"Look at that rich fucker, thinking he can take what's mine! I'll show him who's really in charge and he won't like it. I'll hit him where it hurts him the most!" Bob laughed manically and called some friends of his that were not really good people. "Chuck, get the boys together! We're going to do something tonight, like an hour or so." "Um, okay Bob are you going to tell me what we're going to do?" "Nope, it's a surprise but it's going to be very well rewarded time." "Okay, Bob I'll call the guys, meet me at my house and we'll talk." "See you in a few." They both hung up and Bob put his car into gear and drove away from Misty's neighborhood and over to his buddy's house. Bob pulled into Chuck's driveway and knocked on the door. The door opened and there were three men inside. "Chuck, Dylan,Scott, thanks for meeting me. I've got an idea and if you want to help out or whatever you can." He had an evil smile on his face and his horrific breath was starting to make Chuck's little living room smell like death warmed over. The guys said that they were in and then all four of them got into the car and took off. 

Misty woke the next morning and began to get ready for work and she saw that there was a message on her phone that said "take a vacation day again today." She looked at the message and was completely confused. She called Liam to find out what was going on. Liam answered her call on the fourth ring which was totally not like him and she asked him about the additional day off text message. Liam said "There was an incident at the office late last night, early this morning and the whole office is closed down until the issue could be rectified. There was a break in, the computers were all either stolen or broken, desks flipped over and spray paint on all the walls, the only good thing was they couldn't access the server room so that was good, no information was able to be retained. So, yeah that is a positive." Misty was completely shocked by this. "How, how did this happened. Don't we have a security officer that watches the building at night?" Liam said "He was sitting at his desk, something came flying into the window behind him, and it had to be heavy cause the windows are extremely tough to break, anyways after the window was broken about three to four guys came in, one put him in the bathroom and locked him up to the handle on the stall and got him a chair so he wasn't bent over or anything. I am guessing that the others were just taking what they wanted or paid to take, he wasn't able to alert anyone, it happened so fast." Misty said "That doesn't make sense why would anyone want to break in and do so much damage and steal all that stuff but be nice to the security guard?" Liam told her "it was old man George on duty last night, he's in his late 60's, I'm just glad that he didn't get hurt." Misty realized that Liam was right George was a very sweet old man, he must have switched shifts with someone because he normally only works during normal business hours. So, yet another paid day off. She drank a little wine while watching a movie, she was relaxing from all the stress and drama that she had been having to deal with in the last couple of days. She finally jumped in the shower, washed her hair and then used this special conditioner that was supposed to strengthen her hair and to make it grow faster. She didn't believe it could do that but she did like the way it made her hair feel. She used her normal body wash and shaved her legs, which was completely silly she had just had her legs waxed a few days ago but it was out of habit. She got out of the shower and got dressed in jeans and a tee-shirt. She signed onto skype and talked to Lynda for about an hour and it was good conversation, they both were enjoying life and happy for each other. Misty signed off with Lynda and decided that she wanted to go to "Bottoms Up" to socialize and spend some time with Charlie, if he wasn't too busy that is.
