Lynda pulled up right then and when she got out of the car she was visibly shaken, she had fresh tears on her face and her body literally shivered. Charlie ran to her before she fell down, catching her as her knees gave out from underneath her. "Lyn, what the hell? Are you okay? What's up?" The police officer rushed over to them "Is she okay? Does she need medical attention? Ms. Chaplin, please tell us what has happened to you for you to have such a reaction?" Charlie picked her up and carried her to the house and put her on the couch and the police officer followed behind them and closed the front door. Misty bolted up to Lynda and held her while she sobbed. Misty looked at Charlie with a questioning look and mouthed "what the hell happened?" Charlie shrugged his shoulders and shook his head mouthing back "I don't know." Lynda stopped crying and then turned to look at everyone in the room. "Liam is fine, that's not why I'm upset. As I was walking out of the hospital I noticed this car that had been sitting in the same spot, never moving. Then when I left the hospital I saw the same car behind me, I purposefully took some unneeded turns to make sure I wasn't paranoid but the car was taking all the same turns that I did and the car was even parked outside in the same parking lot of the grocery store but the driver never got out of the car. When I got back in my car, turned on my headlights and stared to head over here, the same fucking car was following me again. I was almost here and the other car sped up and pulled alongside me, it was the scumbag Bob Urchin, he swerved his car towards me and tried to run me off the road right where the canyon opens up from the road. I slammed on the brakes and swerved away from him and his car. I don't know what or why but he was yelling, cursing and his hands were shaking in the air." The cop wrote down what Lynda was saying and said "you're lucky from the sound of it this guy, he sounds totally insane."

The cop called the police department to give them the report and to have any officers in the area looking for him or his car. "How long ago was this Ms. Chaplin?" "Just now on the road up here" she responded. The cop made sure to pass the information to the police department so that Mr. Urchin could be picked up right away. Charlie walked up to Lynda and gave her a drink, her favorite sex on the beach and she drank it quickly. Misty was still holding onto her, trying to calm her like Lynda always did for her. Charlie walked the cop to the door and asked "Do you think it's safe for us to be here tonight or should we go somewhere else?" The cop looked at Charlie and said "Honestly, I'm not sure that you would be safer anywhere else. We have all surveillance detail teams here tonight and we also have a police officer posted outside of Liam's hospital room." Charlie exhaled and said "Okay, we'll call if we need any help. Oh fuck, my parents!" The cop said "already covered, there is a team there too." Relief washed over Charlie's face and he bid the officer goodnight. Liam woke up when the nurse came in to check on him and his vitals, he saw someone sitting next to the door outside his room. "Excuse me nurse, who is that in the hallway and why are they sitting in front of my room?" The nurse looked at him and said "you're under police protection, the officer is there to make sure that only authorized people come into the room." Liam looked confused "Did I miss something? Why am I under police protection?" She smiled and said "I'll have the officer come in and explain it to you right after I finish with your vitals and giving you your medication." "Okay, I guess" he replied. She finished writing in his chart and then walked up to put a new saline bag up and attached it to the IV already in his arm, she had a syringe and injected something into the tubing. "It's a pain killer, so you're more comfortable." "Thank you, nurse. Can you send in the officer now?" She smiled and exited the room, stopping by the door and telling the man sitting in the chair that I had some questions. The officer walked into the room and said "Mr. Mannford?"  "Please call me Liam." "Okay Liam, the nurse said you had some questions for me. What can I help you with?" "Well, first I would like to know why I'm under police protection. There has to be a reason."
