September 21st

"Jimin?"

"Yeah?" Jimin whispered.

"Are you okay? What are you doing in there?" Hoseok lightly knocked on the wooden door.

The younger's body flinched at the sudden noise, slowly lifting his head to look at himself in the mirror.
His eyes were red and puffy, almost as if he were crying.
And he did.

Jimin quickly wiped off his heavy tears and splashed a cold amount of water on his face, "yes, I'm okay Hoseokie hyung, I'm just washing my face."

Hoseok tried opening the door, but to his misfortune it was locked, "you've been in there for half an hour now, are you sure you're okay?"

He didn't wanna bother the younger, but he was worried.
Mostly because he's noticed the change in Jimin and not just appearance wise, but also the way he's been acting lately.

"I'm fine!" Jimin let out a reassuring happy voice.

Hoseok let out a small sigh and a firm okay, "I'll be waiting in the living room, with the rest," Hoseok said, before turning around and leaving Jimin alone.

"Okay," Jimin said, before bursting into tears once again.

He couldn't help himself, but cry about the terrible luck he had in life.
First, he and Jungkook have argued multiple times that week and haven't talked since; and second, his mom had called him yesterday, telling him that his father was diagnosed with M1a lung cancer, which is why his friends were there.

After a while he quietly unlocked and opened the door, causing it to creak, disturbing the pleasing silence in the house.
Jimin mentally cursed at himself as he finally got out of the semi small bathroom and walked across the hall, upstairs to him bedroom.

"Are you okay Jiminie?"

The small boy turned around, with a fake smile plastered on his face, "yeah Namjoon hyung, don't worry."

The elder smiled back, not knowing the sadness beyond those beautiful brown orbs, "aren't you coming to watch a movie with us?"

"No, I'm a little tired and I think I'll go rest for a while, you guys can watch it without me though."

"Okay Jiminie," Namjoon's dimples appeared as well as his perfectly straight teeth.

Jimin's eyes glanced over at the front door, when it suddenly opened.

His and Jungkook's eyes locked for those three seconds that felt like hours, after not seeing each other for two days.
Jimin quickly broke the contact and ran up the stairs, trying to avoid Jungkook's presence.

"Who invited him anyway?" Jimin thought.

Even after crying and sobbing for the past few hours, Jimin somehow managed to feel angry at the person who dared to invite Jungkook over.
This was only for his friends and Jungkook definitely wasn't a friend. He was way more than that, but at recently, it felt like he was none of that, not even a friend anymore, just a stranger with a past.

He locked himself in his room and quickly laid in his bed.
The soft sheets hugged his trembling body and comforted him, when no one else could.
He'd be lying if he said he wasn't thinking of Jungkook as he was crying. He squeezed his eyes shut and prayed the tears would stop leaking out of his eyes as soon as possible.

Jimin woke up from his power nap, at the sudden soft knocks, causing him to jump from his bed. He was indeed very sensitive to loud noises and anything that could scare him easily.

"Who is it?" he asked.

Knocks were heard again, but no voice.

"Who is it?" Jimin asked louder, thinking the person might've not heard them, but he was wrong.

The knocks continued on and on and Jimin decided to see who was bothering him.

He slowly walked to the door and with a hesitating mind put the key in and twisted it while pressing down on the door knob.
A bad mistake.

The second he opened the door, he wanted to close it again, but the person on the other side was much stronger, causing Jimin to give up and turn around.

"Can we talk?"
