September 22nd

"How are you holding up?"

Jimin shrugged, "Okay, I guess."

Yoongi took the seat next to Jimin and put his arm on the younger's shoulder, "everything's gonna be fine, alright?"

Jimin nodded.

"I know that Jungkook and you-"

"Can we please not talk about him hyung?" Jimin interrupted.

Yoongi wanted to say something, but decided it was better to not speak at the moment. He didn't want to say anything that might hurt Jimin.

"I don't understand," Jimin said after some time.

"You don't understand what?" Yoongi asked, his hand still supporting Jimin's shoulder.

"I don't understand what happened to us. We were so happy and everything was okay, but everything seemed to change over night," Jimin took a deep breath, trying to prevent his tears from falling, "I really don't understand."

"I think it'll be best if you two took a break from each other for a while," Yoongi spoke carefully.

Jimin snapped his neck towards Yoongi, eyes widened at the size of a coffee cup, "I won't. I can't."

"Think about Jungkook then," Yoongi said, "how do you think he feels?"

Jimin shook his head aggressively, "I know. I know, but I just can't. I don't want to."

Yoongi removed his hand from Jimin's shoulder and stood up, "I don't know Jimin, but think about it," and like that he left the younger boy alone.

Jimin covered his shaky and cold body with the blanket Jungkook had given to him when they first met, which was five years ago.
Of course he kept it and of course he made himself suffer even more.
He deserved it, thinking that he was the reason Jungkook was acting that way towards him.

Jungkook was gripping tightly on the plush bunny he received as a gift when he turned fifteen years old.
To Jungkook's misfortune, the bunny smelled like Jimin.
Jungkook's heart was aching at this point. He didn't know what he'd done wrong and where he turned the wrong way.

He didn't know anything anymore, except for one thing; he was still in love with him and nothing would change that.
But things weren't like they used to be. Jungkook missed the elder, but not like he did, when Jimin would leave to his parents home town for a week.
He just missed him, without a longing, without a need to see him. The image of Jimin was just there and Jungkook assumed it was because he missed him, but as time went by, the feeling of missing the elder was slowly fading away, but never to the point where it would disappear.

Jungkook hasn't talked to anyone, since the day he and Taehyung argued.
He would've talked to the others yesterday, if Taehyung hadn't pressured him to go upstairs and talk to Jimin.
And where did that get them?
Nowhere.
It just ruined their relationship even more, that is, if it can be called a relationship anymore.

Tears slowly ran down Jungkook's cheeks and the feeling of emptiness hasn't left the younger's mind since yesterday.

"If only I would've known this would happen. I would've never left your side, but now all I can feel is emptiness and the love I once had for you is going away, just like that. And I'm not fighting for it, because there is nothing left to fight for and we are no longer in the battle. I left with one side of the army and you left with the other and just like that we parted ways, not knowing how much it would've hurt the both of us."
