"Are you awake?"

Jungkook rubbed his eyes lazily and shifted uncomfortably in the chair he fell asleep in.
"Hmph..." A word left Jungkook's lips as he yawned, his hands covering his mouth.

"Hey! Are you awake?" The familiar voice spoke again gaining Jungkook's attention as the younger turned his aching neck to the left and squinted his eyes at the figure in front of him.

"Yoongi hyung?" Jungkook finally managed to fully open his swollen eyes.
"Why were you sleeping on the chair?" Was the immediate question, Yoongi asked once he noticed Jungkook was finally awake.

Jungkook was about to tell him that Jimin was sleeping on his bed, but he only managed to let out a quiet 'huh?' as he saw the empty bed.

Jimin had left.
In that condition.

"I–uh, well," Jungkook was lost with words, he didn't know how to react, much less answer the elder who was observing the room they were in, while occasionally glancing at Jungkook.

Should he tell him that he brought Jimin to his house since he wasn't feeling well, or should he lie about it?

"I came home late last night, so I was too tired to lay in my bed, the chair was the closest thing I had before I passed out," Jungkook nervously scratched his head.

Yoongi furrowed an eyebrow at the younger, "so you're trying to tell me that you've been asleep since yesterday?"

"Yes."

"It's almost 8pm Jungkook!" Yoongi grabbed the younger's forearm and dragged him out of the chair.

"Why are you lying?"

Jungkook kept looking down, unable to face his friend.
"What really happened Jungkook?" Yoongi asked, but in a much calmer tone.

The younger was about to tell him everything, but held himself back, "why do you even care? All of you hate me anyway."

Yoongi's expression stood still, except for his eyes, which grew a tiny bit larger as the words left Jungkook's lips.
"We don't hate you," said Yoongi, "especially not me. I could never hate you."

It was nice hearing those kind of words spoken to him, since everything he's been hearing have been insults and complaints at how he's ruined someone's life.

Unexpectedly, Yoongi received a very tight hug from Jungkook himself.

Jungkook was very well known for hating hugs.
Expect for Jimin's, but recently, receiving a hug from a stranger was enough for Jungkook to keep going on.

He was lacking love and he needed it, Jungkook needed his love, but he didn't need Jungkook's.

A very quick hour passed by, as Jungkook had explained everything to his hyung, in tears of both regret and anger.
The careful words Yoongi chose still hadn't calmed the younger down.

"Do you want me to talk to him? I know how hard it can get," Yoongi offered, his hand gently rubbing Jungkook's hand.
"No!" Jungkook protested, "please don't. He doesn't want to see me, much less hear anything about me."

"You can't fix things, if you're not trying," The elder assured him.

"But hyung," Jungkook bit the inside of his cheeks, "what if we don't wanna try? What if we don't want to fix anything, because it seems things are better the way they are now."

"Nonsense," Yoongi spat, "how are things better the way they are now, when you two are basically eating yourselves from the inside out?"

"But Jimin doesn-"

"Jungkook, stop!" The younger flinched, "Jimin this, Jimin that. Stop thinking what Jimin wants and for once think about what you want!"

"I know. I know that you care about Jimin and you don't want to harm him, but you're ruining yourself Jungkook," Yoongi wasn't going to stop any second, "as much as you think he doesn't care, he does. Do you honestly think he goes to sleep peacefully as if nothing that is going on is actually happening?"

"I don't know," said Jungkook sheepishly.

"Of course you don't. All you do is argue with him. Has it ever come to your mind to even ask him if he's doing okay? If he's resting well or sleeping well? You haven't, have you?"

The guilt was officially eating the younger alive and all he wanted to do was bury himself at that exact second.

"You're the worse friend anyone could ever have, you don't deserve anything good in life!" Jungkook's subconsciousness screamed at him in filth and hatred.
And every word spoken in his head, made Jungkook hate himself even more.

"I haven't," Jungkook answered coldly and left the room with a relaxed, yet most selfish expression on his face.

It was time for him to stop caring so much and move on.
