Murdoc x reader [Unaware]

Dani

There you are in Dani's car driving to where you used to live to retrieve your stuff and spend some time together, While Michael joins the band for a video game night. You're not too far away from your home, so you decide to make some conversation and talk to Dani about something that's been on your chest.

'So what've you been up to since the wedding?' you ask to break the silence between you.

'Well I went on a mini honeymoon in Paris with Michael, then we came back and moved in', Dani explains.

You listen try to suck up your feelings and listen to Dani's small talk, but you can't. You need to talk to her and get her advice and help.

'Wow, what is life anymore?', You ask in confusion and sadness.

'What do you mean (f/n), are you ok?' Dani asks immediately sensing something's wrong.

'I don't know Dani. Things with Murdoc are great, I love him. But, I've seen some shit and it was fucked up', the memories of Buck's death flash through your mind and you begin to shiver.

'Like... what kind of shit?'  Dani's really concerned.

'Well when Murdoc and I left the lake district we went to Escalles in France. Do you remember the night I messaged you about Murdoc getting drinks with his ex?'

'Yeah'

'Well that night was really fucked up, I went down to the hotel bar and 2d was kissing Murdoc. Then Murdoc pushed him off and told me he was attacked by 2d and then confessed his love to me.'

'What? 2d's Murdoc's ex? and that doesn't sound bad, he said I love you?'

'Yeah he is and that wasn't the bad part. So after we confessed our love for each other, we made out and went up to our hotel room to fuck. The mood was perfect, it was gonna be passionate love/hate sex. We were through with some of the foreplay... AND BAM. the guy Murdoc owed money- Buck- walks in and ends up holding a gun to Murdoc's head. Thankfully 2d pushed the gun out of his hand. B- b- but, Buck had guards, with guns, so 2d tried to protect himself with Buck as a human shield. And I ended up in a room with Buck dead on the floor, everywhere covered in his blood and 2d injured'. You're voice trembles and small wet, droplets of sadness and trauma leave your eye.

'We should get you some therapy, sounds like you have PTSD'.

'No shit sherlock. But I can't go to a therapist and tell them about Murdoc getting me into these situations', You cry even more at the thought of not being able to have Murdoc with you. Dani pulls up the car and pulls you into embrace, you cry on her shoulder for a minute and the images of death and injustice pollute your mind, more and more, consuming you.

'It's gonna be ok (f/n)', Dani says rubbing your back. You stop crying and leave the hug.

'Imagine, if I'm so fucked up by this one thing. What about Murdoc?' You gulp in fear.

'You guys should talk about the incident and you should learn more about his struggles and see if he needs help too'

'Y- you're right', you begin to catch your breath and breath smoothly.

'You'll figure it out, you and Murdoc can help each other. Also sorry to break our conversation, but we're here'. Dani says as she opens her car door and exits, you do the same.

You enter the building and go to your old apartment, you haven't seen it in a couple of months. There's multiple eviction signs on the door, but your home looks so inviting after all the craziness. The happy memories of your home combat the dark memories of the night at escalles and you begin to feel happier. You pull out your keys and unlock the door, you enter. Everything looks just the same, so calm, so welcoming, the place you were putting your dream to be a (d/j) into action. Although you love Murdoc and are happy you went travelling, you feel a sharp pain- regret- part of you wish you didn't come. You walk around the house observing all your small notepads and gadgets related to your dream.

'Dani', You say sadly.

'You miss your old life?' Dani asks reading your mind.

'Yeah a little?'

'Do you want it back?' You contemplate the question hard for a few moment and then speak.

'No, but I still wish I was working on my dream' You reply.

'Why can't you, you have the time, the money, the drive, you have everything you need kiddo'

'Wow, that's so true. I'm gonna figure this out Dani... With Murdoc', you say regaining hope.

'You wanna stay here tonight?' Dani suggests as she can see you feel safe here.

'Yeah'

You and Dani then sit on the same couch and talk about each others lives. It's nice to do something ordinary. You also feel better and hopeful and are excited to go and chase your dream again with Murdoc by your side.
