Murdoc x reader [Unaware]

Brit awards

After a day at the spa with Mohammed and Mike, you head back to the villa. You all plonk yourselves down onto one of the excessively designed sofas in front of one of the TVs in the villa and decide to watch TV. You grab the remote before anyone else can and begin scrolling through the channels. 

You pass many shows that are playing in arabic, and many shows that don't particularly interest you. But then you hear a fragment of we got the power play on one of the channels and stop scrolling instantly. You love learning about anything Gorillaz related. 

'Really, Gorillaz?' Mohammed asks

'Yeah! They're my favourite band. Murdoc's in them' You reply

Mohammed then rolls his eyes and then you both revert to watching the show. You observe 2D, Russel and Noodle walking onto a large, brightly lit stage, surrounded by a sea of people. The sea of people emits waves of sound as they cheer. The band walk up to a podium with a curvy woman in green behind it, she's holding an award. Behind them, there's a screen that reads 'Brit Awards 2018'. It feels wrong to see the band with out Murdoc.

The curvy woman then begins to speak. 'Before we hand this award to Gorillaz, we have a quick video message from the master mind of Gorillaz himself, Murdoc Niccals'

You are absolutely confused.

The show then cuts to a video of Murdoc. You observe his face longingly and listen to his raspy voice. You hold onto the necklace he posted you and your eyes begin to moisten. The recorded Murdoc begins to speak.

'Sorry my bandmates can't be with me I'm detained by your mags not the American mags our Brit mags thanks to all the five artist management, Phil the driver, Keith my Zumba teacher, Sid the psycho, Smith, my friend hacksaw, harry, Jack the hat, Sirus the virus, big balls McGinnis, no balls Mcginnie, long Lenny-

You smile as you're happy to see that Murdoc's still not been broken and is still okay. But you simultaneously feel confusion. Murdoc appeared to be in a British prison in the video, not only that, he said he was detained by British Mags. This makes no sense, how? Has Paula faked the video? Has Murdoc lied to you? What's going on.

For the next moments you remain silent on the outside and completely inattentive. However, internally you're experiencing a constant stream of sound. The sound of questions, fears and hopes, polluting your mind. Till you notice someone walking up to the stage. You are very confused. This mystery person eventually reaches the podium and takes the mic. 

'Hello, I'm Ace. You may know me from the ganggreen gang. I'm going to be Gorillaz bassist while Murdoc is in Jail.'

Ace's words rumble around your head and eventually sink in. Your face goes pale. You feel physically ill. All the confusion you felt moments ago, fades to reveal an evil sun of clarity. You realise, this isn't Murdoc, this is most definitely Paula. Paula knows that one of Murdoc's biggest fears is being replaced in Gorillaz, as do you. You contemplate how Paula would've arranged for such a thing to actually manifest, but you're brain doesn't have enough evidence to piece it together.

You sit there, physically unable to move and wait for the show to end.

You feel absolutely helpless.
