Murdoc x reader [Unaware]

Marriage?!

You and Murdoc sit there in shock waiting for one of you to answer but nobody does, so at the second more assertive knock on the door you stand up and walk to the door. You slowly turn the knob and open the door, revealing an excited 2d and a sheepish looking Nao.

You walk back to the couch and sit beside Murdoc, they sit on the arm chairs opposite to distance themselves.

'So, we're getting married...' 2d admits.

'Yeah, we just-' Nao goes to explain.

'We heard everything, we were listening in to see if 2d was ok', Murdoc states bluntly, he emphasises the way he says 2d as if to tell Nao she's dead to him... which is understandable.

'Look Mudz-' Nao says trying to ease the situation.

'Don't go and fucking Mudz me, you just told 2d a bunch of lies about me. What do you fucking expect?' Murdoc explains.

'Look guys I think you should go, we need some time alone', you say as you stand up and walk to the door.

'I understand, but we will finish this', 2d says sternly as he glares at Murdoc before taking Nao's hand and walking out the door you just opened for them.

You're left with an infuriated looking Murdoc sulking on the couch with his arms cross, but you see through his act... he's hurt and worried for 2d. You walk over to Murdoc, sit next to him and lays his head on your lap and run your fingers through his soft cosmic blue hair, he is visibly calmer.

'I know you're upset Mudz, you don't have to pretend', you speak softly as you watch the man.

'Yeah... It's just-' Murdoc struggles to speak as he tries to restrain himself from crying.

'It's ok to cry- only real men show their emotions'

'Every person 2d ever loved fucked him over- including me- and I don't want it to happen to him again', Murdoc says with a trembling voice, you feel small splashes of lukewarm liquid hit your lap coming from Murdoc's eyes.

'I know you'll probably disagree, but from my experience, I think Nao is the one for 2d and you have nothing to worry about. The fact that she felt she needed to lie to him shows how much she cares'

'I guess', Murdoc says as he sits up and pulls you into his arms.

'Don't worry, everything will be just fine' you whisper into Murdoc's ear trying to comfort him.

Murdoc kisses you and you practically melt. 'Thanks (f/n), I'm gonna give 2d a call'. You nod in reply and Murdoc removes himself from you and disappears into the bedroom.

(20 minutes later)

Murdoc was taking a while so you decided to watch some of your favourite show without him. After about 20 minutes a relaxed looking Murdoc emerges from the bedroom and sits down beside you.

'All sorted?' You ask.

'Yes love'

You then hug Murdoc tightly and revert to watching your show. You want to know more about the marriage but decide to let things completely mellow out first.
