Chapter 20

"Hey, Lo." I say, approaching the girl standing in the kitchen. "Hm?" She hums in response. "So, last night when you told me about this... girl you like... you never told me who it is." I say. Her face immediately goes red. "Yeah. I was going to but you left..." She trails off. "Well, I'm here now. So, spill." I grin playfully, hoping to gain the girl's name. She sighs. "Well, you can try and guess. I will tell you if you get it right or not, and answer yes or no questions." She says with a smirk. "Ok...." I bite my lip in thought. "Is it Ari?"
"Ew, no."
"Ew? I love Ari."
"Well we all make mistakes."
"Hmph. You're rude."
"Okay, sure. Keep asking."
"Is she famous?"

"Yup."

"Do I know her?"

"Yup."

"Is it Dinah?"

"Oh my gosh, no."

"Is it Mani?"

"I love Mani like a sister."

"Is it Ally?"

"Nooooo."

"Ok, I give up." I raise my hands and drop them. "Just tell me please." I pout my lip. "I told you the rules-" she begins but my phone rings. "Just a sec, it's Ari." I say, and she scoffs while I answer the phone."Hey, Ari." I speak. "Hey, I got a brilliant idea." She says. "Okayyy?" I question. "But first, is Lauren in the room with you?" She asks. I look at Lauren, who quickly looks away, obviously having heard Ari because she was fuming. "Yeah." I reply. "Ok, go somewhere else." She says, and I leave the room, while Lauren stands there with a pissed off expression.

"Ariiii!!! What're you doing here???" Dinah squeals. All the girls were in mine and Lauren's room and we were hanging out when Ariana finally showed up. She smirked at me, a gesture that didn't go unnoticed by the girls. Lauren sent daggers at her. "I'm here to see Mila." She grins widely. "Well, we're busy." Lauren grunts. Ally glares at her. "Be nice, Lo." She warns. Ari comes over to me and hugs me tightly, giving me a kiss on the cheek. I see Lauren's face go red with anger. I knew she disliked Ariana, but damn.

After 2 hours and a whole movie later, I sat snuggling with Ari. Lauren stayed across the room, looking hurt yet also extremely pissed. "See? She does like you. This just proves my point. Now giggle and act like I said something funny and then kiss my cheek." Ari says into my ear, while smiling. My face goes red unwillingly and I giggle, causing Lauren to look at me and raise an eyebrow. I kiss her cheek and Lauren stands up abruptly. Everyone looks at her, now. "I'm gonna go..." She points to the bathroom, then darts off.

Ari giggles and all the girls look at her. "It's working." She whispers into my ear. "What're you two up to?" Dinah asks. "Wait and see." Ari smirks. Dinah raises an eyebrow, before turning back to the show, but not before glancing at Mani.

Lauren gets back out and she looks like she's been crying. Immediately I feel bad, and try to get up to comfort her. "Leave it. Just wait." Ari whispers. I nod and keep my gaze on Lauren a little longer before looking back to the tv. "Hey Lo, you okay?" Dinah asks. "Of course I'm okay, why wouldn't I be okay?" She says quickly. Dinah shrugs.

After the movie, Ari leaves. But not after hugging me for what felt like forever and kissing my cheek a million times. "So, you and Ari?" Lauren asks, hurt in her voice, after the rest of the girls leave. I shrug. "You assured me there wasn't anything going on..." She looks down. "Well, no offense, but why would you care?" I shrug again. "Because I-" she spots herself. "I don't care." She mumbles. "It's not my business I guess." She gulps and turns around. I grab her wrist, turning her back so she is facing me. "We aren't a thing." I say. "Really? That's not what it looked like." She scoffs. "Well I do those things with Dinah all the time, and you never get jealous." I cross my arms. "Jealous? Nobody said I was jealous! Plus, Dinah doesn't have a crush on you!" She yells. I immediately jump back, startled by her outbreak. Her face softens slightly when I step backwards. "I'm sorry." I whisper. "I-uh-goodnight." She says, quickly turning around and going to her bed. That did not go as planned.
