Chris's POV
Summers at home with her mum and I'm here at the beach with everyone, setting up chairs and talking to everyone.
I feel my phone buzz in my pocket and I open it to see Summers mum calling me, I swipe it across and answer.
"Hello" I say
"We are driving in now" she tells me
"Okay" I reply hanging up
We have a plan, I'll ask her at the garden near the beach and then if she says yes I'll walk her up and surprise her with the whole wedding.
I walk over to see her confused standing there
"Hey baby" I smile
"Hey what's up?" She smiles
"Well I just wanted to ask you something" I walk up to her fiddling around with the ring in my pocket
"Yeah?" She chuckles
"Well..." I get down in one knee and look up at her, her hand instantly covers her mouth
"Baby" I whisper
"Yes" she replies
"Will you-" she cuts me off
"Yes"
"Will you marry me?" I ask
"Yes!" She slides on the ring
"I love you baby" she jumps and wraps her legs around me
"I love you so so so much" I smile into her neck
"One more thing" I put her down and hold her
"Yeah?" She can't keep a smile off her face
"You know how you wanted to do something special tonight?" I ask her
"Yeah?" She replies
"A wedding" I smile
"What?" She chuckles
"Let's get married, right now" I tell her
"Are you bring serious" she smiles
"Yes, is it a yes?" I hold her hand
"Of course" she smiles
"Well follow me" I smile walking her over the bridge and looking at everyone looking at us
"Baby" she starts to cry
"I love you" I turn to her
"I love you so much" she wipes a tear
"Let's get down there" I tell her
"Lets go get married" she replies
"You sure you walk this?" I hold her hand
"Of course I do" she replies
"Okay, I love You so much baby" I smile to her
"I love you so much more" she smiles back
"Hello, you must be summer I'm Chris's Aunty Tracey nice to meet you" a woman says
"Nice to meet you" i smile hugging her
"She's a priest" Chris tells me
"Ready to start?" She asks
"Definitely" i smile at Chris
"Okay if everyone can take there seats!" She yells out and everyone does what she says
I stand up at the podium with Chris, there's no other place I'll rather be.
"Today is a celebration. A celebration of love, of commitment, of friendship, of family, and of two people who are in it for forever" she smiles at both of us
"We gather here to unite these two people in marriage. Their decision to marry has not been entered into lightly and today they publicly
declare their private devotion to each other. The essence of this commitment is the acceptance of each other in entirety, as lover, companion, and friend. A good and balanced relationship is one in
which neither person is overpowered nor absorbed by the other, one in which neither person is possessive of the other, one in which
both give their love freely and without jealousy.
Marriage, ideally, is a sharing of responsibilities, hopes, and dreams. It takes a special effort to grow together, survive hard times, and be
loving and unselfish". (Yeah I looked that up, don't judge me 😂)
"Do you both pledge to share your lives openly with one another, and to speak the truth in love? Do you promise to honor and tenderly care for one another, cherish and encourage each other, stand together, through sorrows and joys, hardships and triumphs for all the days of your lives?" She looks at us
"We do" we smile at each other
"Do you pledge to share your love and the joys of your marriage with all those around you, so that they may learn from your love and be encouraged to grow in their own lives?"
"We do"
"May these rings be blessed as a symbol of your union. As often as either of you look upon these rings, may you not only be reminded of this moment, but also of the vows you have made and the strength of your commitment to each other. As this is a sudden yet loving marriage, I'm going to ask you's to say vowels, these won't be reversed or practiced so we know they will be on the spot and perfect, Summer you start" she smirks at her
"Oh god here we go" she chuckles
"Chris, I hated you, I thought you were the biggest stuck up and rudest person ever, you asked me on a date out of the blue and I didn't say yes at the start, but I did and it was the best decision I ever made, later that night you were my first kiss, then you asked me out soon after, I knew I loved you after a week into the relationship, You were the first one to say I love you, thank you for loving me, as the relation went on we have had many ups and downs, some more awkward than others once we began coming friends with each others friends, things happened but we always made our way back to each other, thank you for never giving up because without you I have no idea where I would be, or who I would be, you've changed me for the better just as I know I've changed you, you are the most amazing, perfect god Damn hottest person I've ever met and I know we will be together forever, do you Chris Lanzon, Take me Summer to be your wife?" She smiles with tears in her eyes
"I do" I smile at her, trying not to cry myself
"Baby I love you, I'm so glad because you said yes to that date because if you didn't I wouldn't be who I am today, you are the most naturally beautiful person ever, your laugh is music to my ears and everything about you is perfect, baby I seriously love you more than I have ever loved anyone In the world, yes we have had our ups and downs but you know that I regret everything to do with all of that, as I know you do too, but here we are up here getting married, so Summer Smith, do you take me to be your husband?" I start to tear up...two more words and we will be married
"I do" she says
"Go now in peace and live in love, sharing the most precious gifts you have the gifts of your lives united. And may your days be long on this earth. I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride" I don't waste no time, my lips smash into hers and she instantly kissed back.
"I love you so much" I pull away and hug her
"I love you so much more" she hugs back
"Not possible" she mumbles into my neck
God I love her.
