After weighing everything, hearing my doctor's opinion, and spending way to much time on YouTube, I knew I didn't really have much of a choice than to get these tumours out of me.

I had to go with the surgeons recommendation and just get it all removed.

There was a difference in thought between wanting to have kids and not being able to conceive. I felt like my identity of being a woman was picked at.

Not all of it taken away, but it felt like I sure was stripped a portion of it.

I knocked on the dedicated office I was sent down to before letting myself in. Doctor Ray looked up from his computer and smiled up at me.

He welcomed me in, allowing myself to sit at the visitors side of his desk.

"So are you well today?" He asked with a smile as I walked forward to sit in the chair.

"I'm excited to get this over with, but I'm super nervous." I admitted shyly.

"Alright, well before I get you to sign the wafer forms, I will just have to go over the risks of surgery, alright? And I don't mean to scare you but they are the same for a minimally invasive surgery, as for a major one. Because unpredictable things can happen." I nodded in response, shifting in the chair a little uncomfortable.

"The theoretical risks from any surgery include anesthesia, blood loss, infection, and trauma. The procedure is very low risk, you are in good hands. Tony Stark wouldn't have recommended me if he thought you would be put in danger."

"I know." I nodded, letting out an exhale, the thought making me calm down.

"I have done this over a couple hundred times and I have treated many people with fibroids. I just want you to know that you are going to do amazingly. Don't stress yourself, alright?"

"I'm trying not to." I shed a small smile out of the corner of my mouth.

"Alright, well I will need to see you in a week after your procedure just to check in and monitor your incisions. If you need to get a hold of me right away, you know where I am."

"Thank you so much." I smiled and nodded again.

"Here are the forms, I just need them signed in the next few hours and then we will check your levels and hopefully get this show on the road."

"Hey, Steve." I called though my cell phone. I set down my pen as I made a few final signatures to wrap it all up.

"Hey, how's it going?" He asked me.

"I just signed the wafer forms so hopefully I will be cut open in an hour." I tried to look on the bright side of this situation.

"So how long will the healing process be?" He asked me. "Do you need me to come?"

"I'm not sure, it all depends on the person. But they did say to take a month of nothing and two of taking it easy. But, I will start working a little before, you know, like helping Tony in the lab and such." I explained. "And I'll be okay. But maybe if you would like to come pick me up after? I'm sure the doctor will call when I am in recovery."

"This is your health, Andie." Steve reminded me. "I'll talk to Tony for you. Just take it easy and make sure you are back on your feet before pushing yourself."

"Thank you, Steve."

"Of course." His voice spoke back as I could almost hear the smile on his face. "How long do you think it will be?"
