I laid in the comfy white sheets, a warm arm draped over my waist. I smiled turning around to face a sleeping Steve. It was nice, the break we were able to catch. Wakanda was nice. Not home. No, it was far too humid to be home. But it was good for now.

Steve and I have talked about settling down. Getting married, having kids. But with the life we have, it's not exactly possible. You never know what's going to happen. Along the way, he did get me a promise ring. Its a simple silver band with a star cut on the front. It's simple yet classy. The simple life was all we wanted. But that's never the way it works out for us, is it?

A ringing cut through the room. I carefully snuck out of Steve's grasp, walking over to the dresser and opening the middle drawer. My metal hand then clinked when it touched the old flip phone. I flicked it open to see Tony's contact across the screen.

"Hello?" I spoke quietly as I stepped into the bathroom so I wouldn't wake Steve.

"Andie, is that you?" His voice called out as I closed the door, leaning against the countertop

"Bruce! Hey, how's it going?"

"Not great. We need your help to locate Vision. He's gone offline and Thanos is coming. He's trying to get all the infinity stones and right now his followers are after Dr. Strange and the time stone." He rambled into the phone, his voice in a panic.

"I honestly didn't understand most of what you just said, but we're on it," I replied with a small chuckle. I don't do well in situations like this, despite being an Avenger.

"Thank you, tell Steve I say hi."

"Will do, if you don't mind me asking, where's Tony?"

"In space with some kid in a red suit."

"Goddammit, of course, he is. See ya, Bruce." I muttered before hanging up, closing the phone.

I exited the bathroom to see Steve sitting up in bed, his long, blonde hair in a mess. His look had changed quite a bit in the past year, but frankly, I didn't mind the beard that went along with it.

"Who called?" He asked as he saw me place the flip phone back in the dresser.

"Bruce, from Tony's emergency phone," I answered as I closed the drawer, turning around and walking back to the bed. I laid down on my stomach beside him and he ran his fingers through my now silvery blonde hair.

"What's going on?" His brows furrowed.

"Some guy from space wants to wipe half of the population. In order to do so, he needs to find all the infinity stones." I explained to Steve, reciting what I did understand from what Bruce told me. "We gotta go to Vision, he's one of the targets."

"Just when we thought we could catch a break." He said, watching as I fidgeted with the ring.

"We better get changed then. We gotta be quick." I muttered, not too thrilled to be getting back to our jobs again. "Well as quick as we can be, Wakanda to Scotland isn't exactly a quick trip." I chuckled lightly.

"Should I shave?" Steve asked, gesturing to the beard on his chin,

"I like it, you should keep it." I smiled softly, admiring his features.

"Only for you, Andie." He chuckled, leaning down to press a loving kiss to my lips before we got up and changed into the suits we thought we could leave behind a year ago.
