Where I found myself next was in a familiar bed. One I haven't slept in in what seemed like forever ago. I groaned out in pain as I tried to move around. The sheets felt cold but smelled clean.
"I wouldn't do that." I was startled at the deep voice. I looked over to see the man I recognized as the Winter Soldier, the one who I saved from the Helicarrier.
"What happened?" I groaned in pain as I felt pressure in my shoulder as it pounded.
"Do you remember anything?" He asked me, his voice flat.
"The fall, but from then on it's blank." I spoke, my voice raspy from lack of use.

As we fell through the air I slowed it down as much as I could, leading him toward the ground. But I couldn't carry the both of us. I made sure his fall was balanced as I crashed into the water with a loud smack. My back ached from the water to skin contact. I cried out in pain as I closed my eyes.
"How am I even alive?" I wondered, more to myself.
"I brought you to the hospital shortly after. They cleaned you up and put a cast on your arm. The following night, I brought you back to your apartment. I couldn't risk being caught." He mumbled as he stood at the foot of my bed, arms crossed.
His expression was stone cold, and his chilling blue eyed remained locked with my clear eyes. "This was a week ago."
"I've been passed out for a week?" I asked before pushing myself up into a sitting position. "Why did you stay?"
"Because I want answers." He stated.
"How do you know I have the answers you are looking for?" I raised a brow as I was leaned up against my headboard.
"You are close with the captain?"
"Yes." I nodded hesitantly.
"Then you may know."
"Are they all about Steve?" I wondered.
"No."
"Which ones aren't?" "Why did you save me?"
"For Steve."
~~~
A knock sounded from my front door as the two of us sat on my couch. It was the next day, as I was exhausted from the pain. We both called it quits as he slept on the couch, and I remained in my bedroom.
I was explaining to him about my life. He had read up on me, but demanded I let him know my afflictions with HYDRA in the past. I basically told him everything, or everything that would make him more comfortable in my presence.
I saw Bucky tense as I stood up, making my way to the door. "I'll get the door, go to my bedroom." When I made my way to the door, I peaked over my shoulder to see he wasn't there. I guess it was a habit of his to disappear without a sound.
I opened the door to be met with the blue eyes of the blonde haired man I haven't seen since I helped him descend from the helicarrier. I let out a shutter of a breath and my eyes softened.
"I thought you were dead." He spoke, his voice soft. Within a second I was in his arms, his warmth was comforting as he held me close.
A minute passed and it seemed to go by way too soon. He pressed his lips to the top of my head as he stepped away.
He had concern wash over his soft expression before he went back to his usual straight face. "What happened to your arm?" Steve asked, motioning to my cast.
