Chapter Eighteen: Take a Bath
***Embry's POV***

It's been five weeks since the Yule Ball and everything seems to be better than its been all year long. Fred and I were talking again and were joking around, he was even joking around with Cedric from time to time. While we hadn't come any closer to solving the egg mystery it didn't seem to weigh down on us as much as it was with Hermione and Harry whole were constantly in the library looking for answers. Even though the second task was in just over a week, along with my birthday, everything seemed normal.

"Miss Dobbs, please stay back for a moment." Professor Moody called from the front of the class as we all got up to leave the class and relax for the weekend since it was Friday. I glanced at Fred who only shrugged before heading out of the class with Lee and George who were still ignoring me. I stayed by my desk, waiting for him to say whatever he needed to say but he kept quiet.

"Is there something you needed Professor?" I spoke up after a few minutes. At my voice he turned around as if just realizing I was still there instead of him telling me to stay.

"Has Diggory solved that egg yet?" He turned back to his chalk board and started to erase the day's lesson from it.

"No Sir," I furrowed my brows in confusion.

"Must be frustrating," he paused. "Taking a bath has always relaxed me and showed me the way, perhaps he should try that?"

"Okay?" I was even more confused now.

"Make sure to tell him that," he headed back towards his office while I just stood there in confusion for a few more seconds then headed out into the corridor.

"Cedric?" I walked over to where he was seated at one of the little desks in the library that night. I knew he was looking about the egg. He looked up at me saying his name and smiled as I pulled a seat up next to his desk.

"What are you doing here?" He leaned forward and pecked me on the lips.

"After class today Moody asked me to stay back for a few minutes." I informed him about what had happened this afternoon. "He wanted me to tell you something."

"What is it?" He raised a brow.

"He asked if you'd solved the egg yet and when I told him you hadn't he talked about how you must be frustrated. Then he said that whenever he was frustrated that a bath always relaxes him. He told me to have you try it." I thought over the words as I said them, trying to figure out what they meant. I watched Cedric as he thought over the words himself. After almost ten minutes of just sitting there and staring at each other he grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the library.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

"To my dormitory and then the bathroom." His smile seemed to grow as we reached the barrel that led to the Hufflepuff common room. I stayed outside as he went in and then emerged a few minutes later with the egg and a bag. After that I followed him again until we reached the door to the perfects bathroom.

"Pine fresh," he said that password and we quickly slipped inside before anyone could see us. The bathroom was stunning with it's marble fixtures and a bathtub that was almost the size of the lake near the Burrow.

"What are we doing here?" I asked as he turned on the water for the tub so it could start to fill.

"Moody said that I needed to take a bath, I think it's a clue to the egg." He explained.

"A bath with the egg?" I could see the possibility that he was right as we waited for the bath to finish filling before he turned off the water and pulled off his shoes and shirt before slipping into the water with the egg in hand before looking back at me.
