The day you met the Hitachiin twins was the day your life changed. For better or for worse? You're not sure yourself, but it certainly did change. Your stubbornness and the identical looks of the twins made for an interesting game. It was the 26th time that you were playing the game with the twins. You didn't really care whether they were bored with you, because you needed to play until you got the answer right.
"You're Hikaru Hitachiin and you're Kaoru Hitachiin!" You exclaim, blocking their path in the middle of the hallway. Your fingers pointed at the twins.
"Wrong again, (F/N)- chan~" Hikaru responds with an amused smile on his face. "We'll give you one more try today and if you get it wrong, be prepared for the worst." He said quietly in your ear, his light tone changing to a dark one in a matter of seconds. Ignoring the pleasant shiver that ran through your body, you huff and brush past the twins into the classroom. You were sure that you had gotten it right that time... You didn't understand why you always got it wrong when you were always observing their actions closely. The twins enter the classroom shortly afterwards, arms linked together. Your eyes narrow at them, but it doesn't seem to change a thing.
"I'll definitely win next time around." You mutter quietly to yourself as the class started. During the session, whenever the teachers want the students to pair up, it was always Hikaru that walks over to you first, but for some reason you never seem to pick up that detail. Then in the middle of the activity that you three were doing, you guess once more. But to your utter dismay, your guess was wrong.
"Wrong again. Geez, you're really bad at games, aren't you?" Hikaru teases, his hand landing on your upper thigh.
"Whatever, I can always guess next time." You push his hand off nonchalantly. Kaoru watches the expressions on Hikaru's face as you two are interacting and covers his face to hide a smile. When the bell rings, Kaoru stays behind, letting Hikaru be alone with you. On the way to lunch, Hikaru doesn't leave your side.
"What? Is this my punishment?" You ask with a snort. "Doesn't seem like one to me." Hikaru glances over at you with a blank face.
"(F/N)." He utters your name in a chilling voice. You find yourself up against a wall in the empty hallway, unexpected strong hands pinning you. "I'm sick and tired of you never knowing who I am. Never being able to tell the difference between Kaoru and me!" He exclaims loudly. The shakiness in his voice is clear, and he even chokes up in the middle of his sentence. Then his usually warm, teasing eyes flash an emotion of pain. "I'm going make it clear who I am from now on, so you better remember." You don't even try to go against his strength when you're told his true feelings.
"Idiot." You murmur and slide out of his grip. Your arms bring him closer as you lock your lips with his.

A/N: I honestly don't know where I went with this, but nonetheless, I hope you enjoyed it!
