The burden of an angel
Weighs heavy on her shoulders
As her wings hang down from her back

All this responsibility
She did not ask
Her angel wings grow heavier on her back

All these broken fantasies
Replaced with haunting failures
The burden of an angel

For this she did not ask
To be haunted by the past
As her wings grow heavier on her back

Who knew life was so torrential
You think it would be pleasant
But this is not the case or at least, not in heaven

The burden of an angel
You'd think it would be light
But not when you're the only ray of sunshine in a seemingly endless night

The burden of an angel
Taking others problems and replacing them with joy
She was helpful at first but now she's just a toy

All these troubling fears
Anxiety and other emotions
Who knew being an angel would cause so much commotion

You think it would be easy
But apparently its not
This never ending cycle of hate simply refuses to stop

They're dragging the ground now
She doesn't have the energy
If only she could fly away

But she can't
Or at least, she refuses to
She must help
Even if it means sacrificing herself

The burden of an angel...
