The rain is full of ghosts tonight
You can see them hovering in the shadows
They don't dare step into the streetlights
Because no one know where they go
The rain is full of ghosts tonight
You can see the sorrow etched into their faces
They're tethered to the spot
Haunting the same 20 paces
The rain is full of ghosts tonight
No one knows just why they stay
Though many people figure
They don't know how to go away
The rain is full of ghosts tonight
They'd go back to being alive if they could
But their bodies are hidden in the grave yard
In boxes of impenetrable wood
The rain is full of ghosts tonight
They're friendly if you say hi
And if you listen close enough
They'll tell you how they died
The rain is full of ghosts tonight
But they plummet as they sing
They cry out in unheard voices
Because no one bothers listening
