I'd like to walk around in your mind one day
Waltz through the front door without your permission
Not even bothering to pay admission
The pleasant smell of cookies would fill my mind
Causing me to leave my original intent behind
After taking a bite of the sweets that leave my stomach churning
I will continue on with my initial plan of journeyingI'll pick through the endless heaps of trash
Wander through the piles of useless notes you had to take for class
Hike through that dark and desolate space
With no sunlight to make it a more happy, cheery place
Search through the things you think and feel
And experience all your emotions like a terrifying ferris wheelI'd saunter from room to room
Attempting to find a spot with no gloom
And when I'd happen to find that place
It would be where you go to drift off into space
I'd stroll through the endless garden of creativity
With brightly colored flowers for as far as the eye can seeBut as soon as that room is gone
I'd find a place filled with broken crayons
The dreary walls splattered with paint
And a pungent smell that makes you want to faint
This is the place of broken dreams
It's hoarse voice calls out unheard screamsI'd quickly exit through the back door
This was not the experience I was asking for
As I ran away from those terrifying plights
I would gratefully soak up the bright sunlight
This is what I get for being nosey
I just assumed your mind would be much more cozy
