Three - Lunch
"Sorry, I can't make it again, the other cook is still sick and they need me in the restaurant."
That was the excuse Lucas had today, it was Sunday and just like yesterday he couldn't make it. This time I had really nagged because I had made reservations at this really cute place.
Since I had always wanted to eat there I decided to just go. Yes I would make a fool of myself, but if anyone dared to make a comment about it I would just give them my best evil stare.
Leaving my apartment I was greeted by Harry in the hallway.
"Going somewhere?" he asks.
"Yeah about to go embarrass myself in a restaurant where I made reservations for two," I say as we both walk to the lift.
"What do you mean?" he inquires.
"My boyfriend has to work again today, but I already made reservations," I explain. "I suppose you can't go with me since you're going somewhere."
We both get into the lift that had arrived.
"Actually, I can, I was planning on going to a subway for my lunch since I'm not in the mood to cook my own food today." he says.
"Well, do you mind going with me?" I ask avoiding his gaze.
"I didn't expect you to ask me that, I thought you hated me." he chuckles.
"I just don't want to embarrass myself, it doesn't mean that I see you as a friend." I mutter and get out of the lift.
"Ouch, that hurts," he mocks and puts his hand on his chest where his heart is.
"But I suppose I could come with you."

"This is a nice restaurant," Harry says and looks around.
"Why do you think I picked it?" I retort and walk to someone that was standing behind some kind of counter with a list on it.
"Hello," I say politely.
"Reservation?" the lady behind the counter asks.
"Yes, reservation for Avery Williams," I answer.
"Follow me please," she says and walks into the restaurant. Me and Harry follow her to a table somewhere in the back of the restaurant where it was nice and quiet.
"Thank you," I thank her and go sit down.
"Thank god this isn't like a fancy restaurant, otherwise I would be really underdressed," Harry says and takes his coat off. I follow his gesture and take the menu in my hands.
"I don't really like fancy restaurant that much, only if it's on special occasions," I state as I scan the menu.
"Should we take soup?" Harry inquires. I just shrug.
"Good for me, I'm gonna take the spaghetti after that," I answer.
"I'm gonna have the macaronni and cheese," Harry says.
When the waiter comes we place our order and our soup comes quickly.
"Avery, look!" I hear Harry. I frown and look up at him. He had stuck two breadstick in his mouth and looked like walrus.
"Look, I'm a walrus!" he chuckles. I roll my eyes and look unamused.
"Why did i ask you come with me again?" I ask.
"Because secretly you like me," he retorts.
"Shut the fuck up, i have a boyfriend. i would rather die than like you," I grumble.
