"Harry, no," I say for the fifth time this morning.

"Come on, Lucas was a dickhead, he deserved that punch in the nose!" Harry exclaimed.

Oh yeah, you heard it, Harry punched my boyfriend in the face after I had entered my apartment. Well, I got out after I heard Lucas swearing. That's when I realised I really needed to change something.

"I'm walking to work," I state.

"But you have a car," Harry said.

"I need some air to cool off."

"Fine, be careful, I'll see you at work," Harry mumbles walking away. Finally, he had bugging me from my apartment till the lobby. When Harry is out of sight I walk out into the cold air. Quickly putting on my gloves, god it was freezing. Maybe I should have worn pants instead of a skirt. These tights weren't doing shit and my legs felt like they were freezing.

The whole way I was slipping and sliding over the ice, stupid weather...

"Shit," I curse as I slip and almost fall flat on my face if someone didn't help me.

"You're welcome," the person says as I turn my head.

"Avery."

"Shit," I curse as I recognize the man who wastes no time covering my mouth with his hand and dragging me in a alley.

I squint as the bright lights hit me.

"Fuck, why did it have to be bright lights really? Can't you guys install some dimmed lights, for fuck's sake," I grumble.

"Oh and yeah, you tied my hands, but my legs too? Scared of me? You better be, because if I see the person who's behind I'm gonna scratch their eyes out. Or are you too scared? Come on, show yourself!"

"Hello, Avery," a deep voice greets me.

"Just show your fucking face," I spat.

"Good then," the person chuckles and stands in front of me.

"What do you want fuckface?"

"You've got a big mouth, Avery. Not really in the position for that right?"

"I don't give a flying fuck, now just get to the fucking point. I've seen all the movies and they usually just ramble on before getting to the point. Don't do that, I haven't got the patience for that."

"Well then. You've heard about us haven't you? The ravens, in fact you've even encountered someone who works for us. Now, we know you're with the rebels, but too bad for them, from now of on you're working for us."

"Got eat a bag of dicks," I reply.

"Excuse me?" Stefan chuckles.

"I said -"

"I heard what you said."

"I'm not joining your stupid little gang," I spat.

"You don't have a choice, Avery."

"I do, and that is that I'm not joining."

"Too bad for that we have your family under control," he says and turns around.

"What? What are you doing with them?"

"You've got one week Avery, if you haven't joined by then, one family member dies. After that you have six days, then five, you get the picture."

"Why me?" I whisper.

"What?" Stefan asks and turns around.

"Why me? You could have picked so many people, but you want me, why? What have I done? The only thing I can do is set things on fire, no big deal."

"Oh, Avery, they really don't tell you anything right? You have so much potential, I could show you that. Show you things you didn't know you could do, they won't do that, they are trying to put a leash on you. They're scared of you."

"I'll never leave them for you filthy animals. Now let me go!" I say shaking the chair.

"We're not letting you go like that. Let me first introduce you to the gang," He says with an evil smirk. Oh shit.

HARRY'S POV:

"Harry!" I hear someone call my name. I stop and turn around seeing Zoe run towards me.

"What's up?" I ask as we walk further.

"Where's Avery?" she asks. I stop and frown.

"What do you mean?" I ask confused.

"She hasn't showed up and isn't answering her phone," Zoe explains.

"But I just saw her this morning," I say confused and start walking again.

"Wait, so she didn't come to work with you?" Zoe questions as we walk into the copy room.

"No, she was pissed at me and didn't want to come with me. She walked here because she needed fresh air."

"Harry, you bloody idiot!" Zoe exclaims hitting me on the head with a magazine. "What if they have her huh? You should've at least made sure she took the car you nitwit."

"Shit, we need to tell Grey," I state and start walking out of the room.

"And Liam," I add.

"You fucking idiot!" Liam says fuming with anger.

"She was pissed at me, do you really think she would have listened to a thing I said," I defend myself.

"You need to find her immediately, Harry. If they show her what she can do with her powers she will form a danger to everyone, including herself.

"I know Liam, but I don't fucking know where the Raven's headquarter is," I exclaim.

"Then find it! We need to protect Avery! If they have another person who can control an element we're screwed, then there will be no change of protecting the city anymore."

"Well, I'm not gonna find her on my own, we need more people."

"Fine, I'll call in as many people as I can."

"I can't believe you lost her," Zayn says shaking his head.

"I didn't lose her! She practically ran away from me!" I exclaim throwing my arms in the air.

"Still, Liam is pissed at you, you know?" he says shoving his hands in the pockets of his coat.

"Yes, I'm fully aware of that, he's gonna hold a grudge for weeks about this," I grumble.

"And what if we don't find Avery?" Zayn asks.

"Then he's gonna kill me," I sigh.

"Okay, so we have to walk from the apartment to work," Zayn says.

"Yes, we have to check every alleyway, see if there's an entrance anywhere," I explain.

"This is gonna take ages," Zayn sighs.

"It's useless, we've been looking her for hours, and we didn't find a thing, we should call a day, Harry," Zayn sighs.

"No, we have to find her, we can't just give up, we need to continue, we can't just leave here with them," I say.

"You can look on your own, I'm going home," Zayn says and walks away.

"What a great friend you are!" I yell after him, but he just flips me off and keeps walking.

"Fuck," I curse and sink down on the ground putting my head in my hands. "You really screwed up, Harry."
