In the world everyone has special powers, you will never find someone with the same power. Most people decide to keep their power a secret so that the wrong people won't come after them and try to use them for their powers. If those corrupt ones know your power and decide to come after you, there's no escaping, they are everywhere and sooner or later they will find you.
That's why nobody except my family knows about my powers, you can't trust people. If you show them your powers and they turn out to be one of the bad guys you're pretty much screwed.
And that's how I test people, if they ask me to trust them, I ask them to show me their powers. If they really care for me, they show me their powers, to make me feel at ease.
If they don't, I just can't trust them.
It might seem weird, but that's the only way to survive in London these days.
Being unique can also be a curse.
