HARRY'S POV
Avery was so confusing, one moment she was al cheery and bubbly around other people and acting normal towards me. But then she just suddenly snaps and her voice is just full of venom when she speaks.
"See you later," I say when we're at our apartment.
"Whatever," she answers and rolls with her eyes. I sigh and walk into my apartment, quickly walking over to the couch and slumping down on it. I was exhausted and just wanted to sleep for days.
I just couldn't understand, why wouldn't Avery just tell me about her past? Why didn't she just tell me what caused her to lash out like that? Why did she want the information about my past in exchange? Why couldn't she just stop?
All those questions kept going trough my head, questions I doubt I would get answered.
As much I wanted to know about Avery's past, I wasn't ready to tell her about mine yet, I wasn't ready to tell her what happened, what they did to me. What they did to my best friend, I still didn't know if she was alive or not. If they killed her or kept her for information.
Neither of those answers were pleasant, I didn't want her to be dead. But I didn't want her to be one of their puppets who don't have a choice.
"I hope you're okay, Alexa," I whisper and close my eyes. I sigh and roll over to my side, and before I know it, I had fallen into a deep slumber.

When I wake up I frown when I feel the hard surface under me. I look around, but can't see so much because it was dark where I was laying. I move my hands around and get a hold of something that feels like a flashlight. When I get the light on I see I was lying on the floor of my living space. I sigh and get up, I must've fallen asleep on couch and fallen off it.
I get up from the floor and move the flashlight around to look for my phone. When I spot it I pick it up and check the time.

I groan and go trough my hair, I had to get up in a few hours and go to work. So to not lose any sleep anymore I go to my bedroom. I take of my shirt and pants and put on a pair of sweatpants, not bothering to put on a t-shirt too.
As soon as my head hit the pillow I fell asleep.

Groaning I turn around and silence my alarm.
"God, I hate marimba," I grumble. I still hadn't changed my alarm tone and it was annoying the shit out of me to say the least. I made a mental note for that and got up.
Still groggy of the couple hours I got I strolled over to my kitchen and made me a cup of coffee and some breakfast. After the coffee had woken me up I went to my bedroom got some clothes and then to the bathroom to get a quick shower. I had to be on time because I had to pick up Avery too, not that she knew.
"Hi," I say excitedly when Avery opens the door.
"What the fuck are you doing here?" she asks narrowing her eyes at me.
"Driving you to work," I explain.
"Oh no fucking way, I don't need a babysitter," she spat at me. I sigh and run my hand trough my hair.
"I know, but Liam instructed me to drive you to work every day, so you can have more protection," I state. It was entirely a lie, I was indeed instructed to watch out for Avery, but I wasn't told to drive her to work al the time. I just had to watch her closely, not be by her side all the time.
"I know Liam told me to tell you if I would go somewhere, but having to drive me everywhere? That's a bit much isn't it?"
"I know, but he said so plus, it's better for the environment."
