Athena sighed, stepping out of her car and walking up to the front door of the large, dark brown house.
Knocking on the wood, Athena waited a solid 3 minutes, but no one answered the door, so she knocked again, and like before, no one answered. Groaning, Athena pulled out her set of keys, grabbing the one painted with yellow nail polish that she was given months ago, she unlocked the door and shut it.
The house was silent, a sign that the adults living here had already left. Glancing at the clock on the wall, Athena rolled her eyes. "Jesus,"
Walking up the stairs of the house, she made her way to the room at the end of the hall. Opening the door, she stared at the pile of grey blankets that laid on top of a bed, the outline of a person clearly underneath it.
Stomping over to the bed, Athena gripped at the covers and pulling, but the strength of the boy underneath was too much for her.
"Liam Dunbar, do not think for a second that I will not drag your ass out of bed and bring you to school. I don't care if you have to go wearing boxers and a tank top." Athena sternly said, but the boy didn't move.
"Go away. I'm dead." Liam said, making Athena roll her eyes and make her way to the end of the bed. Taking a deep breath Athena gripped his ankle, and pulled.
He still didn't move. Furrowing her eyebrows, Athena saw his hand sticking out over the covers and holding onto his bed frame, preventing him from moving.
"Fine," Athena said, walking out the door and pulling her phone out. "I'm making myself some coffee!" Athena yelled back, hearing a small grunt come from the room a couple feet behind her.
Walking downstairs, Athena pressed call on Scott's name and pressed the phone to her ear.
"Athena. Hey." Scott answered, and Athena placed the phone between her shoulder and her ear as she made her coffee.
"Hey, I'm at Liam's. And he refuses to get out of bed for school. And I have a small inkling it's because of what happened last night." Athena said, pouring the caffeine into the mug she pulled from the cupboard.
"Crap. Alright. I'm on my way now. I'll be there in about 10 minutes, maybe. " Athena sighed in relief at the small amount of time.
"Alright. I'll see you soon. Bye."
"Later."
Placing her phone down on the counter, she grabbed the vanilla creamer from the fridge and poured it into her cup, then placing it back as she smiled.
Athena took a sip, wincing at how hot it was. She decided to wait a couple minutes for it to cool down a little.
10 minutes later, there was a knock at the door, and Athena pulled her lips away from her coffee cup. "It's open!" She yelled, watching as her best friend emerged from outside.
