Athena tapped her foot on the cement, her fingernails in between her teeth and her palm rested against her chin. "Okay, two things. I thought we agreed you would quit biting your nails," Malia appeared next to her, pulling her hand from her mouth, "And two, stop getting so anxious, you reek of anxiety." Athena raised an eyebrow, a way of agreeing with her friend. Before she could respond, Malia beat her to it,
"Actually, you've reeked of anxiety for the past two weeks. Athena, what's going on? I heard your little argument with Scott earlier, and I know you hate this idea, but I don't know why. You can talk to me, Thena. I'm your best friend. I would never judge you for your feelings."
Athena glanced over at Malia, and smiled, "Thank you, Mal. I love you." Athena said, and Malia grinned back, "I love you too. Now do you wanna talk abo-"
Malia was cut off as an arrow flew through the windows, a loud shatter echoing through the building.
Malia pulled the arrow out of the wall as Scott, Liam and Lydia approached them. Malia pulled the piece of paper from the arrow, and Liam snatched it from her, Athena doing the same with the arrow.
Glancing over at the paper, Athena's face fell, the number '7' printed across the green background. Brett's lacrosse number. "Isn't that-" Athena started, "Brett's number." Liam finished.
"They're trying to rattle us." Athena informed her friends and the officers around them. "It's working." Theo stated, and Athena glanced from him to Liam, who was angrily gripping the paper, his eyes glowing a bright yellow. "Liam-"
An ear curdling scream sounded from the back room, causing Jordan and Sheriff to run off into the back room.
Not wanting to go back there, but curious as to what was happening, she leaned into Theo, "What's going on?" She whispered, and tapped her ear when he looked down at her curiously.
Nodding, Theo listened in, "It- It sounds like they're cutting a rope, and I can practically smell they're fear from here. And there's a woman, she's freaking out. And now she's-" Theo hurriedly stopped, looking down at Athena, not wanting to tell her what was about to happen, but now before a loud gunshot echoed through the Sheriff Station.
"Theo, who just got shot?" She asked hurriedly, and he blinked down at her, "A deputy. She shot herself."

"It wasn't just panic." Lydia said, and Athena grimaced, placing a hand over her nose. "It's in here with us."
Athena furrowed her eyebrows, "What do you mean?" Sheriff asked, and Scott, Athena, and Theo looked around the room, but there was nothing or no one there.
"Whatever is causing the fear. It's here with us" Athena pulled out her phone, sighing," Guys. It's almost midnight. We're almost out of time."
"I've already got two bodies, I'm not giving Monroe two more." Athena glanced at Sheriff as he spoke, then looked up at Theo behind her, who was looking down at the bodies, his nose crinkled.
"C'mon." Scott mumbled, pulling Theo and Athena out of the room, asking Theo questions about Tierney and Jiang as Sheriff trailed behind.
"Well, I watched two guys bring them in and tie them up." Theo said, and they each crowded around the edge of a desk, looking outside. "Okay, but how long did they actually have Tierney and Jiang?" Scott asked, and Athena cracked her knuckles, "A few hours, maybe."
"Did Monroe talk to them?" Scott looked back at Theo, who shook his head, "No, I don't think so. Just the guy from Eichen, maybe two other guys with shotguns. I think they were waiting for Monroe to do the real interrogating."
"So, she might not have seen them?" Scott questioned, and Athena butted in, "What are you getting at Scott?"
Scott looked at Sheriff and sighed, "I got an idea. But I don't think you're gonna like it."
"If it keeps them from getting killed, I'm pretty open." Sheriff nodded.
"Monroe said she wanted Jiang and Tierney brought out, dead or alive." It took Athena a couple seconds, but when she got it, she snapped her fingers, causing the three men to turn and look at her, "Sorry. It took me a few seconds." She scratched the back of her neck. Theo chuckled, but Sheriff and Scott rolled their eyes.
"Let's get them into body bags." Scott mumbled, looking at Athena and Theo, "Athena, get two body bags, Theo, come help me bring their bodies in here."
Athena nodded, jogging into the back room and glancing around. Finally noticing a box of black bags, she took one out and unfolded it, smiling triumphantly and grabbing another one, running out.
"Got them." She told Sheriff, who nodded and told her to out the on the floor. Theo and Scott walked in with the two bodies, and they slipped one in each bag. Ordering his officers to move the desks from the door, he looked back at Scott, Theo and Athena, before pointing his gun at the metal desk. Shooting it a couple times, Athena sighed, cracking her neck before reaching down and zipping up one of the bags.
"5 minutes." Sheriff informed them, and they nodded. "Scott, I'm trusting you, like I always do, but I swear to god, if this doesn't work, and we all die. I'm gonna kill you." She zipped up the other bag, and the two boys chuckled.
"Ready?" Scott asked Theo, who nodded and stood up, holding onto the body bags. "Guys," Athena stepped forwards, and they looked back, "Don't die." She gave them a thumbs up as they walked outside.
Shutting the doors, Athena, Malia, Lydia and Liam crowded around the window. "Anyone think this is gonna work?" Malia asked, and she looked at her friends, " Sorry, I'll stop asking."
Grabbing Malia's hand, Athena rubbed her thumb, "They're gonna be fine. They have to be."
