Scott looked at Athena for confirmation that she was alright with the plan, and after a couple seconds of eye contact, Athena sighed, "Okay."
Scott nodded, turning to look at his friends, "Alright, Liam, go get Tierney and Jiang." The boy nodded, running past Theo and Athena.
Athena sighed, glancing around the room as her friends filed out of the office. Once everyone had left Athena grabbed Scott's arm, preventing him from leaving.
Scott looked back at her, a concerned look present on his face, "Scott, I know what you're thinking," She said, and he raised an eyebrow, a small smirk on his lips as the concern left his face.
"You think that you know what to do, you think you know how to protect those kids, but you've never dealt with this. These are experienced hunters. This is nothing like what you've encountered before, trust me."
Scott sighed, removing her hand from his arm and gently putting his hands on her elbows, an attempt to comfort her into thinking he knew what he was doing. "We've dealt with hunters before, Athena."
She shook her head, "No. You've dealt with dumb kids that were trying to make some cash by killing werewolves. This is different. These people, they have vendettas. Against werewolves, and the supernatural world. Those people out there have probably lost someone important to them because of people like Peter, or Deucalion. These people, hate you, and Malia, and Lydia. And they will not be open to negotiation."
Scott sighed, removing his hands from her arms and rubbing his face, "Athena. I'm protecting my pack, and I'm trying to protect what's left of Satomi's pack. It's my job, to protect these people. I'm trying to go with my gut instincts here." He argued, but Athena just scoffed.
"Yeah, well. Once day, your gut instinct is gonna get us all killed." She said, ending the argument by shoving past him and walking out of the office just as Liam arrived with Jiang and Tierney. Scott walked out after her, walking to the front of his friends.
Theo reached out for Athena once she got close, obviously listening in on their little argument just a couple moments earlier. Athena put a hand up, then crossed her arms.
They began to walk to the front of the building where the two double doors were, and Theo bent down, his lips level with her ear, "I don't like this either. " He whispered, and Athena rolled her eyes.
Scott looked back at Lydia, "You ready?" She nodded, and he looked at the rest of his friends, who each gave a sign that they were ready to fight.
When Scott looked at Theo, he hesitated, then rolled his eyes, lifting his hands and flicking his claws out. Scott nodded, then looked at Athena.
She didn't want to do this, it was crazy. But, at the same time, these were her friends. Her pack. Her family. And if her family was gonna go out there and die protecting someone, then she was gonna go with.
"This is a really shit idea." Athena said, and Scott just looked at her with a pleading look, "Fine." She said, cracking her knuckles and pulling her ring daggers from her boot, swinging them around her fingers.
Scott nodded, turning around, ready to walk out the doors.
"Nobody is going anywhere." Sheriff Stilinski's voice echoed from behind them
"Oh, thank god." Athena breathed, quickly slipping the daggers back into her boot. Liam glared at her, to which she just widened her eyes, as if to say "what?"
"We can get through them." Lydia argued, but Noah shook his head. "We're not gonna fire the first shot. Now get back from the door. All of you. Parrish, get these two back in their cell." He ordered, and Jordan walked over, leading the two away.
But not before Scott could rush forwards to Stilinski, of course.
Theo looked down at Athena, who was nervously glancing around the room, her hand up against her face, fingernails in her mouth. Pursing his lips, Theo reached over, "Stop biting your nails." He said, moving her fingers away from her mouth.
She sighed, plopping down into the chair behind her. Theo smirked, sitting down next to her. They didn't say anything to each other, a small silence falling around the two in the middle of the chaotic Sheriff's Station.
"Alright, let's get something in front of the doors." Scott said to His friends, looking around the room in search of something big and heavy enough.
"Malia, help me move the desks. Sheriff," Scott said, and the man turned his head to look at Scott, "Let's get this desk in front of the doors." Sheriff nodded, ordering a couple of his officers to
The group moved it, and a thought came to Athena's head. The whole pack was here. Scott, Malia, Liam, Lydia, her, and, as much as him and the others don't want to admit it, Theo. But it just dawned on her, there were still two people who weren't there in the Sheriff's station.
"Oh, my God. Corey and Mason are at the library." Athena mumbled, standing up and pulling her phone from her pocket. If Nolan and the other boy that beat up Liam are out there, then Corey is in danger. With all of them at the Sheriff's Station, the only backup Corey would be able to get was Mason. Athena had not a single doubt that Mason would go into protection mode if someone tried hurting Corey, but still, he's only human.
Tapping her contacts, she scrolled down to Corey's contact, pressing the call button. Athena's eyebrows furrowed when a notification popped up, "No service?" She whispered, confused. "Shit." She said, spinning around in search of the Sheriff. When her eyes landed on him, she started walking over, "Sheriff!" The man turned around, walking and meeting her half way. "Athena. What's wrong?"
"They're jamming the signal. No calls going in or out." She said, only loud enough for him to hear. "Do you think the radios would still work?" He asked her, and Athena shook her head, "I doubt it, but I'm sure Lydia, Malia and I could figure something out."
Sheriff nodded, "Okay. Thanks, Athena."
The man patted her shoulder and walked away, leaving Athena to sigh and run a hand through her hair. Spotting Lydia, she walked over to her. When the strawberry blondes head perked up, she shook her head.
"They blocked out the signal." They both said simultaneously. Lydia groaned, and Athena chuckled, "Are we gonna do something about it?" Lydia asked, and Athena nodded.
"Definitely."
