Malia was quick to her feet, jumping over Melissa, who laid in the same position she had fallen in, her head in Chris Argents lap.

Malia fell to the floor beside Mr. McCall, whose body was towering over Athena's and Lydia's.

"What are we doing? We need to move her. We need to get them to the hospital." Malia said, leaning on her hands to look at Athena, who was slipping in and out of consciousness.

"We can't move Athena." Mason mumbled, checking her pulse while he held his other down tightly over the gunshot wound.

"Why not?" Malia said, reaching over to try and lift Athena off the ground. Mason reached out an arm, stopping her. "We can't move her." He said sternly, and Malia growled.

"She was shot in the large intestine. If we move her too much and take our hands off the wound for even a second, she could go into hypovolemic shock." Mason said, and Malia furrowed her eyebrows. "If she loses too much blood, she could go into shock and then fall into a coma." Mason said, and Malia's head snapped back to look at Scott, who seemed glued to the floor as he watched the situation unfold.

"Scott-" Malia started, but Mason called out for her. "Malia. You need to press your hands into Lydia's wound. She's bleeding too much." Malia looked between Lydia and Scott, rushing over to Lydia and doing what Mason said.

"Scott." Chris said, snapping the alpha out of it. "They're all losing to much blood. You need to do something." Scott looked between his mom, dad, Athena and Lydia, then at Mason, who, despite the gunshot wound to his arm and the blood running down his light pink collared shirt, was trying his best to stop Athena from dying.

"Chris," Scott said, and the man turned to look at him, "I need you to get my mom, dad and Mason to the hospital. Put them in the car and get there as fast as possible." He said, and Chris nodded, standing up and lifting Melissa up bridal style. The man looked down at his daughter, who just weakly nodded at him, "Go." She managed to say with a hoarse voice. He nodded and looked down at Scott. "Scott," the boy looked over at him, "You do what you have to do to save her." Scott hesitated, but nodded, hoping he wouldn't have to do that. He knew she would be in even more danger if she was a supernatural.

The brown-haired boy leaned down and took Masons hands off Athena's wound and replaced them with his. "Scott, she's not gonna make-"

"I know. Get my dad and get to the hospital with Chris. You need to be there too. You've been shot." Scott said, and Mason nodded after a couple seconds, weakly walking over to Rafael McCall and lifting him up. The older man winced, but threw his arm over Masons shoulders and walked out.

"Scott." Malia whimpered, and the boy looked over at her, then down at Lydia. "Okay. Okay. I-I need to think of something." Scott whispered, and Malia's eyes widened when Lydia reached up to weakly grab Scott's arm.

"Scott." She mumbled, "You-You need to bite her." She said, and Scott's eyes widened. "There has to be another way." He said, and Lydia shook her head, "She's already lost too much blood."

Scott looked up at Malia, "Put your belt around Lydia's waist as tight as you can, take the jeep and get there quickly." Scott mumbled, and Malia nodded, doing what he said and then standing up and carrying Lydia out, while Scott pulled the brown-haired girl into his arms, his hands still holding themselves on top of her wound.

This entire situation felt familiar to him. Too familiar. It was a situation he had hoped he would never have to be in again. It was as if the universe hated him and history was gonna repeat itself, and Scott didn't know what to do.

But Scott knew what he was doing. He was hesitating. His best friend was laying in his arms on the brink of death, and he was hesitating to save her. Just like he did Allison.

Scott's head shot up from where his hands were pressed into her side when he felt Athena move. "Scott?" She mumbled, and he sniffed, not realizing he had been crying.

"Scott, it's okay. Don't be scared. I'll be okay." Athena mumbled, a tear falling from her cheek as she felt one of Scott's tears drop on her cheek.

"No. No, I'm not letting you die." He said, his eyes widening. "Well, you don't have much of a choice, do you?" She croaked out, her voice very weak.

Scott shook his head, "Let me-" "No." Athena said sternly, "I'm not gonna be that person who is about to die and then asks to live." She choked out, and another tear rolled down Scott's cheek. He knew what she was doing. She was telling him to not bite her because she knows he won't do it without her permission. Liam was an exception, but Athena was a hunter and a grown woman who could make her own decision, and if that was her decision, it would have to be something he accepted. "Don't be an idiot, Athena."

Athena went to speak, but then coughed, groaning in pain. Scott's eyes widened as he saw the familiar blood lining the inside of her lips.

"Athena." The girl looked up at him with a small, weak smile. The boy pulled one of his hands off her wound, wiping his hand on his pants and reaching up to her face. Scott moved some of her hair behind her ear and then caressed her face.

Athena sighed, "Scott." She mumbled, but before she could finish, she coughed again. Scott's hearing picked up on her heart beat slowing, and he knew he had to take action.

The boy pulled her hand up to touch his face, which she weakly did, her hands extremely cold against his warm skin. "I don't care what you say or what you want, I'm not making the same mistake again." Before Athena could argue, he turned his head, his face growing more hair and his eyes turning red as he bit into her wrist.

Athena gasped, her eyes rolling back and her eyelids falling shut. Scott sniffed as he pulled away, looking down at the girl.

Scott's eyes widened when he noticed she was unconscious, and Scott, somehow forgetting he was a werewolf, leaned his head down and pressed it against her chest.

Athena Argent had no heartbeat.
