Athena, Chris, Malia, Scott and Lydia all stood around table in the underground tunnels.
Scott held up a blood end of a lacrosse stick, then placed it down on the table, " They were murdered. Killed by a hunter in Beacon Hills." Scott looked around at his friends.
"When they took out the hellhound, we thought that it was luck. That we were dealing with an amateur. But now we know that, whoever this new hunter is, he has a teacher." Scott said, and Chris sighed. "Gerard." Chris replied, making Athena groan and drop her head into her hands, which rested on the metal table. "It means this is my fault, I was the one who let him go."
"You couldn't have done anything," Lydia said, and Athena rolled her eyes, bringing her head back up. "He could have killed him." Malia said, and Athena nodded, agreeing. But Lydia sent her a look. "Just saying." She corrected herself.
"We're not executioners." Lydia said to her friends. "You are when it comes to war." Malia said, nodding.
"That's why we're gonna make peace." Scott confirmed. Athena furrowed her eyebrows, looking at him. "With Gerard?" She questioned.
"Athena. We know what's coming."
He said, and Athena nodded. "We're all using the same word." Scott continued. "War?" Chris answered, and Scott nodded. "So, what stops a war from happening." Malia asked.
"Usually it's a peace treaty, but I doubt that would help." Athena mumbled, but her father ignored her and answered Malia's question. "Declare Peace."
"Right. We need face-to-face with Gerard. Find out what he wants and stop all this from getting worse."
"The last time Gerard was in a Peace Mood was with Deucalion. He blinded him and then killed everyone else, including his own men." Lydia argued, and Athena raised an eyebrow, agreeing with her friend.
"I'll go. I doubt he'll kill me." Chris said, facing Scott. "Um, are you sure about that?" Athena said, and Chris looked at his daughter, "Not really."
"All we need, is to find out what he wants. Then we can work it." Chris shook his head at Scott, "Even if he does agree, his terms would be difficult to meet."
"That's why it's called a negotiation. I don't expect to get anything without giving something up." Scott said, and Athena breathed in deeply.
Chris nodded, looking from Athena to Scott, "Then you're going to need to figure out just how much you're willing to give. And how far you're willing to go, to stop this war."

"Athena." Lydia said as the brown-haired girl walked into her best friend's mother's new office. "Lydia. What happened?" Athena breathed out, looking around the room for anyone injured, or maybe even a wolfed-out Liam.
