Athena slowly opened the large metal door while her dad, Scott, Malia and Lydia knocked out the hunter that stayed behind. Athena stuck the barrel through the small crack between the door and the wall, aiming for the camera that sat in the corner.
Pressing the trigger, the camera was immediately covered by the purple substance. Athena fully opened the door and walked in, Lydia, Scott, Malia and Chris following directly behind her. Malia dragged the body of the guy that they knocked out and dropped him down in the hallway.
"The thermite charges will take care of the weapons. Just make sure you're clear before they detonate, okay?" Chris told Scott, who nodded, then grabbed the bag from Chris and took off down one of the hallways with Malia in tow.
Lydia shut the door, and Athena looked at her father, who gave her a slight nod.
The three made their way over to the control room, and Chris slowly opened the door, the three slowly walking in, Athena going ahead of them to quietly approach the dude. "You find the problem?" The computer guy asked into a head piece, and Athena slammed the gun of the gun into the back of his head, causing him to pass out and fall off the seat and onto the floor.
"Okay." Chris exhaled, and Athena nodded to herself.
The three piled around the desk, Chris sitting down while Athena and Lydia stood on either side of him. They watched through the camera as Malia ran forwards and took a guy out, Scott watching her from behind the wall, and Athena stifled a laugh.
"Did you guys hear a gunshot?" Lydia asked, and the two Argents looked at the strawberry blonde. "No. I didn't hear anything." Chris said, and Athena shook her head, "Me neither."
"I heard shell casings." Lydia continued, making Athena furrow her eyebrows and Chris look at her again, "I saw your car window crack and then I heard it shatter." Athena looked at her best friend, "Banshee thing?"
Lydia nodded then sighed, leaning her hands against the desk.
"I think you were right." She said to Chris, "We should've called this off." Chris and Athena looked at each other, and Athena just sucked in a breath and raised her eyebrows.
Chris reached for the switch the unlocks the door that Malia ad Scott need to get into, but Lydia's hand flew on top of his to stop him, "We all have to get out of here."
"Do that, and we lose our chance." Chris argued, and Athena looked up from her fingers. "Scott and Malia could die. It's not worth the risk." Lydia said, making Athena nod in agreement.
"10 minutes ago, I would've agreed, but right now we're in it and we need to weigh the risk versus reward carefully. If we stay we could succeed. If we could, we know we won't get another chance. Since one risk is known and the other unknown, -"
"We go with the known." Lydia finished, sighing and looking down at the desk as Chris reached forwards again and slowly pressed the lever, the sound of the door unlocking filling the three's ears as they watched Malia and Scott enter the room.
After a couple minutes of watching them find nothing, Athena finally reached forwards and grabbed the mic that connected to the intercom, pressing the button at the button and speaking into it, "Guys, get out of there now." She said, and watched as they looked up at the camera, nodding before jumping up. Scott and Malia stopped, looking at a door.
"Guys, you need to leave now." She spoke again into the mic, watching as Scott just looked up at the camera and then back at the door.
"Jesus." She whispered as the two ran over to a door and tried opening it.
The console beeped, making the three look down at the red blinking light labeled 'armed'. Athena's eyes widened and she looked at her dad, then pressing the button on the mic again. "No, no, no. Guys, don't open that door!" She panicked, but they ignored her and tugged once more, causing the door to slide open.
The console began blinking rapidly, and Athena glanced at the labeled light. The doors to the room Malia and Scott were in slammed shut, "Shit." Athena mumbled, and Chris began attempting to unlock the doors.
"Nope. Everything's shut down. They're locked in and we can't do anything about it." Chris said, and Athena continued to watch the screen as Lydia looked at the console. "What's this?" She asked, and Athena looked at where Lydia was pointing, "A motion sensor," She answered, and Lydia sighed, "What does H-2100 mean?"
"Well, H stands for halon." Chris said, and Lydia looked at Athena to explain more. The brown-haired girl's eyes widened, "It's a fire suppression system. It will pull all of the oxygen out of the room to put out a fire." Athena said in a panic, and Lydia looked up in worry, "All of the oxygen?"
"How long can a werewolf hold their breath?" Lydia asked, and Chris looked up, "I think we're about to find out."
