Athena felt as though she had left her body. She was there, physically in her car, driving somewhere, but she felt asleep. In fact, she didn't even know where she had driven t until she was looking through her car window up at her apartment building. Pulling the key from the ignition, she sat back and released a breath.

Reaching into her pocket she pulled out her phone and typed in Stiles' number, pressing call.

The phone rang, and rang, and rang, and then a voice came through.

"Hey, this is Stiles. Sorry I couldn't get to the phone. Just, leave your name, and number, I guess. And I'll call you back. Maybe"

She ended the call, and tried again. No one. She tried again and it still went to voicemail. A tear escaped her eyes and she put her phone back in her pocket.

A shaky breath left her lips, and she quickly got out of her car, locking it and heading inside before anyone could see the state she was in.

When she got into the elevator, she pressed the cream button with a large number 5 on it. A few seconds later, Athena impatiently pressed the button harder and faster until the doors began to close, and the moment they did, she threw her back into the wall.

Turning her head to look at the wall of the elevator, which was covered in mirrors, she didn't take notice of the way she looked, all she could see were yellow eyes glowing back at her.

Werewolf.

A word that had never haunted her before, but suddenly had the power to put her into an immediate panic attack. She quickly shut her eyes, keeping them closed until the loud bing of the elevator came.

Quickly making her way down the hall, she approached her apartment door, struggling to get the key in the lock, but successfully doing so.

Once inside, she turned and locked the door, pressing her forehead to it as a shaky breath was released.

"Athena?" A small mumble came from behind her, startling the girl as she jumped and turned around.

Theo gasped when he saw her. It was Athena, but it wasn't her. She was wearing the same clothes that he saw her in this morning before they left, but they were different. Her light pink shirt was now covered in a dark red substance that could only be described as blood, which Theo hoped it wasn't her own, and the side of it was ripped, exposing her blood and dirt covered hip. Her cheeks were stained by mascara from tears and her eyes were bloodshot. Her cheek bones were hollow and dark bags adorned her eyes.

She looked dead. And Theo didn't know it quite yet, but she felt dead too.

"Oh, my god Athena-" He mumbled, taking a few steps forward. The girl looked up from the ground, and the moment she made eye contact with Theo's worry filled blue eyes, she broke. Walking towards him, she collapsed in his arms, her hands cradled into her chest, sobs racking through her chest. Theo caught her, holding her up so she wouldn't fall.

He held her close, his breathing shallow as she reached up and wrapped her arms around his neck.

Sighing, Theo placed his hand on the back of her head. He missed hugging her and he missed her hugging him, but he's never hated hugging someone so much at this moment. He couldn't stand listening to her crying into his shoulders, it made him angry, but it made him want to cry as well. He wanted to be here for her, so that's exactly what he did.

Leaning down, he wrapped his arms under her knees and lifted her up. Walking through the apartment, he made his way through her room and into her attached bathroom. By now, Athena had stopped crying and was just silent, her head leaned on his shoulder. Theo would have thought she was asleep if he didn't look down and see her eyes open, staring down at his shirts neckline. Theo gently placed her on the counter next to the sink, and stepped away, opening the curtains of the shower, turning the nob so hot water was coming and placing the stopper in the drain.

Looking back at Athena, he sucked in a breath, walking over to her and placing a hand on her cheek. Theo winced at the coldness of her skin. She was freezing. Quickly but softly, he reached down and gripped the edge of her shirt. Athena gently lifted her arms up, allowing Theo to pull the bloody shirt over her head, which he threw in the trash bin. Turning back to her, he unbuttoned her pants.

Carefully, Theo placed her arms around his shoulders and slightly lifted her off the counter, gripping her jeans and pulling the fabric down her thighs enough to get them off, then placed her back down so he could pull them off all the way. Athena would have argued with him, saying she could take care of herself, but she was empty. She couldn't even muster up enough energy to speak, or cry, or scream. All she could do was watch him as he attempted to help her without hurting her, or disrespecting her.

Throwing the ripped jeans into her bedroom, he shut the door to allow the warm air to filter through the bathroom. Walking over to the almost full tub, he reached in and felt the water, making sure it was warm enough before turning off the faucet.

When Theo turned back around, swallowing as he took her in. He's never seen anything like this. It was something that has been happening for a while now, and his eyes began to water.

She looked like she hadn't eaten in weeks. You could see her ribs. She didn't look completely anorexic, but she was thinner than he ever wanted to see her. Her arms were thin, and her thighs weren't as meaty as they should have been. It made him unbelievably sad, not knowing whether she was doing it to herself, or if it was because of the stress. He figured he'd ask another time, though.

Shakily sighing, he cupped her cheek with his hand, gently placing a kiss on her forehead as he reached behind her and unclipped her bra.

As she mustered enough energy to take off the straps, he helped her off the counter and removed her underwear, respecting her by looking away. Standing up, he lifted her up, quietly gasping when he felt her icy skin. "I-I can." It was the first time he had heard her speak, and it startled him.

"Okay." He mumbled, "I'll be right outside your door if you need me."

Turning around, Theo left the bathroom, shutting the door behind him, leaving Athena to wash all the blood away from her body.
